Lovely place to stay outside of Dingle with easy access to Slea Head Drive. Slea Head Drive is a stunning ring road around the tip of the Dingle peninsula - well worth the drive. Moriaritys Farmhouse is a charming home located down a long, narrow road in the country. Our room was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was good, with a menu to choose from and a self serve bar for toast, cereal, tea and coffee. Only complaint would be that the wifi was spotty - not that big a deal though. The outstanding view was the highlight of our stay - it looked a lot like a view you'd get in Maui! Páidi O'Sé's down the road was an excellent spot for a meal.
My husband and I reserved a room at a different b&b, but couldn’t find it so we were lucky enough to find this place last minute. Absolutely gorgeous view of Ventry bay and surrounding mountains. Easy walk to a great pub, beautiful property, sweet owners. It was the highlight of our Ireland vacation.
My husband and I were travelling with my niece and stayed for three nights at Moriarity's Farmhous on our trip across Ireland. Our host, Brid, welcomed us with tea and fresh hot scones upon our arrival. The view from the property was beautiful and the quiet surroundings were so relaxing. The rooms were clean and the morning breakfasts were delicious. Ted, our other host, told us many wonderful stories about how his family has been on the property for over 800 years! He also told us a charming story about his father seeing Charles Lindbergh fly over the farm in 1927. He also took great pride in showing us around the farm and his new prized livestock. The property is local a short drive from Dingle which has many good restaurants and lots of shops and activities. I highly recommend staying on this charming property.…
Ted has a quaint b&b outside of tourisr over run Dingal. He has a good variety of breakfast options. When we arrived Ted provided us with a refreshing cup of tea and some scones and spent time talking with us. A true Irish gentleman. He had the best pub we have come across in Ireland down the road, it had hurling, a fire and the barman looked after us. Pub called Paidi o Se's Pub
My friends and I stayed here for 2 nights and felt very comfortable and relaxed. Brid was very welcoming and we loved being greeted with tea and scones on our arrival. Breakfast was excellent. The area (a short drive from the busy town of Dingle) is beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed a walk from the B and B to see a castle nearby. We would love to stay there again!
Moriarty's Farmhouse is ten minute drive from Dingle and a ten minute walk to rather quaint local pub serving good food. Our room was a decent size, clean and had a view of the ocean. At breakfast guests may choose hot homemade dishes from a menu. This B&B is a great place to relax.
This is our second time staying here the first was four years ago. The landlord immediately remembered me which made me feel very special. After all it had been four years and I'm sure thousands of guests. The place is always kept looking so great. What needs cleaning gets cleaned what needs painted gets painted etc. The landlords are so friendly and just can't do enough for you. We were tired from our trip and they asked us to sit in sitting room and they brought us fresh coffee, tea, scones with butter and current jam she made that day. The rooms are small but adequate. TV and WiFi is included in each room.
Moriarty's Farmhouse B&B is an authentic, peaceful location just west of Dingle with lovely views of Ventry Bay and the mountains around. The hedgerows were full of orange and fuchsia blooms on our recent stay. Ted and Brid are gracious hosts and we were served tea/coffee and the best scones in Ireland on our arrival. We had an upstairs ensuite room with bay view. While the B&B is older and not terribly spacious, it makes that up in charm and coziness. The large breakfast room is full of windows. The Irish breakfast was great (Brid's jams are also terrific). If we'd had more time and it hadn't been raining, I would have loved to hike down to the beach or up the hills for great views. This is a good location to get away from the town of Dingle, much as we loved it, and also a good starting point for driving on around Slea Head peninsula. There are outdoor picnic and cafe tables for sunnier days. Cows graze peacefully down the hill. This is the "real" Ireland. Hope to come back someday!…
Authentic B and B...this is their home and they welcomed us...versus purpose built. Tea and (homemade) scones on arrival with gorgeous homemade blackberry jam. Good choice of restaurants within a few miles...we opted for The Skipper...delicious breakfast and heavenly homemade raspberry jam...nice to stop here rather than overcrowded Dingle in the height of the summer
Delightful proprietors Brid and Ted helped us with our questions and provided a wonderful breakfast. When we expressed concern about being in a lower level room, they allowed us to move to the second floor despite the extra work on them.
