We have stayed at this guest house many times and have always been very happy. Unfortunately on this occasion things were very different. They no longer provide a cooked breakfast which is fine. Other than that this has not been well communicated when booking and reference to their good breakfast is still made on their Website by way of visitor review The more disappointing thing was the very rude and non-helpful attitude of both the owner and his son and our comments were pretty much dismissed However, what really bothered us was the owners comment whereby he said if ‘I were a greedy man I would just fill this place with Ukrainians, and be lying on the beach in Portugal we found this very distasteful given the very bad situation in the Ukraine. These comments in our view are racist. We are not in the habit of ever leaving negative comments and places we stay however, we felt this needed to be called out.…

To reply to Ollie M's review the breakfast we provide is clearly stated on our website and all 3rd party booking websites. All hospitality businesses change what they offer from time to time and our change from a cooked breakfast to a continental-style breakfast is no different. What is unacceptable in Ollie M's review is his reference to being rude and non-helpful and in particular his reference to being racist. Our Business employs people from the Philippines, Brazil, and Ireland, and more importantly for Ollie M to note we have welcomed employees from Ukraine to work in our business. In light of this, we are not prepared to accept an outrageous comment about being racist toward Ukrainians. When a guest leaves a negative comment in a review they need to be fully informed of the facts or otherwise a comment can be very misleading and disrespectful to other viewers and indeed to the service provided. It looks small on the outside, but actually large with many rooms on the inside. We saw that they had a 9.2 rating on booking and we quickly saw why it was so good. The first thing that surprised me was the clean smell in the halls, Not a clean chemical smell, just a nice clean smell and an absence of any bad smells. That really impressed me. Each one of us when we walked in the room said wow. It was a big room with three beds, very nicely decorated, immaculate, super comfortable beds, super nice everything. It has a restaurant right across the street, parking right in front and a wonderful dining room. An outstanding place

Great place to stay, extremely comfortable and clean! Good choice at breakfast however it would be great if hot breakfast was available at the property, however this didn’t impact our overall stay! We will be back for sure the next time we visit kinvara

We booked a last minute family room in the guesthouse to visit Elf Town and visit the Christmas market in Eyre Square, and could not have been happier with our experience. The staff were amazing, room was clean and toasty warm, beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic (and made available 15 minutes earlier than normal due to our early start at our request. Would absolutely recommend and will be staying again.

When we arrived, the hotel looked rather small and old, but that was a wrong impression. A lot of rooms and ours was perfect! Clean, all comfort, nice bathroom, … for a very very good price. Certainly compared to the hotel we went afterwards for 2 days in Dublin.

Kinvara Guesthouse is right in the center of Kinvara and within walking distance to everything. The beds are wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast they put on each morning is fantastic. There are many options for every dietary need. The staff is professional and kind. I like that they are very cognizant of environmental practices and reducing energy use. I would stay here again for sure.

This place was specious, clean and breakfast was great. The service for breakfast and the gentleman at checkin was great. This would have been a 5 star rating but the gentleman who checked us out was extremely rude and condescending. Morning started off great until I encountered him.

We were visiting Ireland with our two small children and we were able to to utilize the family room at Kinvara Guesthouse. It was perfect for our family. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The best part was the customer service though. My daughter left her favorite lovies (two small blankets and three small stuffed animals) under the pillow by accident. We reached out to the owners and they shipped them to our home! My daughter was beyond happy to receive her animals (that went on their own adventure) when were back home. Thank you for saving the day!

We Spent 3 Nights at Kinvara Guesthouse, and everything was Flawless.. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Extremely clean and comfortable. Outstanding Breakfast. Perfect location beside Mighty Pubs, Shops and Restaurants. Top class.

Exceptionally clean throughout, rooms were comfortable, all the staff were friendly, helpful and polite and fab breakfast!! Plenty of options to choose from hot and cold breakfast. Shower was lovely and plenty of towels available for use.
