Detailed Reviews
My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at St. Joseph's in Roundtree. We stopped by a couple places that were either without vacancies or askin 100 euros for the night. We found St. Josephs and paid 60 euros for a very nice room with a large bathroom and a view out the window. The breakfast (included in price) was perfectly delicious! We would not hesitate to stay there again.

What a fantastic place. If you are looking for a homely environment then look no further. A very warm welcome from Christina, the proprietor, makes you feel at ease – especially after a long journey. The breakfasts were amazing (fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice, soda bread and a full Irish breakfast), and the location great – on the main street (although Roundstone is pretty small, so anywhere within Roundstone is well located). Our room was comfortable enough without being amazing, but we couldn’t have asked for more.

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Joseph's B&B in Roundstone. The B&B is right on the main street going through Roundstone which initially made us wonder whether it might be noisy at night. Far from it! Despite a pub directly across the street (see CaliGirlinFrance's photo) and a couple of others nearby, the night was silent. St. Joseph's is only steps away from pubs, restaurants, and several interesting shops on the street, and only a short walk from the Roundstone Craft Centre that is well worth a visit. The view in this photo is about 2 minutes away from the B&B. We had a warm welcome from Christina who offered us tea in the dining room, overlooking the street. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. In addition to the comfort and convenience of the B&B, Christina herself went out of her way to be helpful, offering the use of her computer when we needed to track down a B&B for a stop several days further along our route. I would love to stay there again, and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend St. Joseph's to anyone looking for a B&B in Roundstone.

Stayed for a couple of nights in September. Very friendly hosts who are extremely approachable but totally respect your privacy.
Excellent breakfast. Water pressure in the shower was also good and everything was spotless.
What more do you want? Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Christina (the owner) is absolutely delightful. I felt like I was part of the family right away. My large room (5) had a nice view of the back garden, very peaceful. The breakfasts were delicious with her homemade walnut bread and soda bread. The views from breakfast out across the bay were enchanting. Everything is in walking distance and this B&B comes with a private car park.

We stayed here while visiting our son in the Gaelteacht recently. We were looking for something really good value, and that is exactly what we got. The rooms were ensuite, with TV and a coffee/tea room adjacent (no added charge). The beds were really comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. Our kids came and went several times during the afternoon evening and loved the relaxed attitude. The breakfast was delicious and literally massive, nobody ate lunch later. However the real memory of a place such as this, is the owners. These are real people, no formalities, no silly policies etc, just real people happy to have you as a guest. Thanks for a great experience, and lighten up on the politics : )

I had a wonderful stay this past December in Roundstone, at St. Joseph's B&B. Christina and her family were so wonderful and engaging -- I had such a lovely time chatting with them! My room was spacious, quiet and warm and the bed incredibly comfortable and cozy -- I slept so well here! My room also overlooked the main stretch of Roundstone, which was a sweet view. The breakfast was delicious and homemade and I just couldn't have been happier. Christina and her husband were helpful with directions and making sure I was comfortable. It was a lovely stay and I would absolutely return for another visit!

So lovely B & B, warm hosts, always available for you to enjoy your holidays. A very nice house, decorated in the perfect style of the 19th century. Nice and large bedrooms, very comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast with fresh fruits salad, help yourself with the orange juice (rare !), and a meat of quality. For my second stay in Roundstone, I spent all a week I really enjoyed. Don't just pass in Roundstone, stay there ! So near to Ballyconnelly beaches, Clifden for the shopping, the Twelve Bens for walking, and once more, so nice people very invested in the village life. Congratulations for the Irish nights on wednesday evenings, I hope to see you again next year.

My family spent one night in Roundstone this past month. It happened to be one of the busiest weekends in Ireland. We had booked, but when we got to the B&B there was a booking issue and we were not reserved. Not to worry! Christina went above and beyond our expectations and made room in her part of the house for us (me, husband and three teens). We had a lovely time and Christina and Seamus were lovely. Roundstone was my favorite stop in Ireland and Christina treated us like family. Thank you Christina and Seamus. From your friend, Peggy Gordon (inside joke with Christina (:

Cristina and Seamus made us welcome right from the moment we arrived--early in the morning, before noon. The B&B could not have a better location, right on the main strip in this gem of a village. The rooms are no frills, but extremely clean and the hosts could not be nicer. I am a celiac and Cristina not only made sure there was no cross contamination for breakfast, but also tried out a delicious new recipe of gluten free potato cakes for breakfast and provided me with gluten free toast. Then she gave me the loaf of bread to take with me when I left. She was truly one of the nicest people we met in all of Ireland, and that's saying a lot, because everyone was so very, very nice. We would definitley recommend this B&B, you'll be happy you stayed in this great little town.
