We really enjoyed our stay at Rush Lake House bed & breakfast in Roundstone, Co Galway, Ireland. The house sits by the sea with a view of the mountains & is within walking distance to the lovely seaside fishing village of Roundstone. The home was built to be used as a bed & breakfast; therefore it is very comfortable and well equipped. However it still maintains a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in a family run home. Sitting in their family room in front of a warm fireplace drinking hot tea on a chilly November evening was really inviting; as was the electric blanket on the bed. A lovely home and lovely hostess. ---------------------------------------

My husband and I arrived in Roundstone on a lovely day and decided to stay to enjoy the stunning surroundings. We found the Rush Lake House; the bonus of it being an easy short walk from the village center. The owners are personable without being nosy, the house itself is neat as a pin, calm, and quiet. Our room was bright and looked out over the water, the mattress firm, the bathroom clean and in perfect condition. Nice selection of breakfast with attention to customer preference. I would highly recommend the Rush Lake House to anyone traveling in the area.

You will be very pleased staying with Linda and her family in this comfortable homestead with a peaceful outlook into the waterways. And only a few minutes walk to town centre, where you can indulge in all the Irish delicacies, i.e. Guiness, chowder and craic.
The accommodation is very pleasant from variety served at breakfast, to the bedding, the view and service provided by Linda and her family orientated staff.
I'm not sure what the number 1 rated B&B offers, but this is hard to beat. You will be very pleased

For over 20 years Rushlake House has been a must to stay during our holiday in Ireland. We have known Linda & Donal and the family since summer 1989. Every year we are looking forward to being their guests in the beautiful house. We always love to enjoy Linda's substantial breakfast as well as her homemade scones in the afternoon at tea time sitting beside the fireplace smelling the peat.

During such a long time we have taken a lot of friends with us to Ireland and especially to Roundstone, situated in the heart of Connemara. They were deeply impressed by this beautiful landscape with its many lakes, big mountains and long sandy beaches. Some of our friends got infected by the virus "Ireland" and since then they have been returning regularly to make holidays.

We would like to thank Linda & Donal for their warm welcome and hospitality they gave us over the years.

This is a great B&B located within walking distance to Roundstone, it has adequate off street parking which is a bonus as most B&Bs in the village have limited on street parking. Linda is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is superb. Bedrooms are quiet and have a lovely scenic sea-view, you can't help but relax in this setting. Would definitely recommend.

We had a quick one night stop here on our drive down from Sligo. We were met by Linda with a nice pot of hot tea so welcomed on a cool rainy day. Our room on the first floor was small but comfortable with a large bathroom. Breakfast was good and had all the items you would expect at a well run B&B. If you are looking for a comfortable stop with friendly hosts while in Roundstone then don’t hesitate to stay at the Rush Lake House.

Recently spent four nights here and would definitely recommend the place to others.

This is a purpose built BnB and all the rooms and the breakfast room have large windows with sea views. The grounds are expansive, there is adequate parking and the host, Lynne, is very welcoming. The place is exceptionally tidy and clean and the beds are super comfy.

Lynne serves an excellent breakfast, and the fruit salad was particularly fresh and tasty.

It is a really easy walk into the village which solves the problem of trying to park in the narrow street.

Thank you Linda and Mary for the absolutely fantastic hospitality you showed to my wife and myself on our very brief visit to Roundstone.
You made us feel more like old friends than new visitors to your home.
To people looking at this review trying to decide which property to use when visiting this beautiful area......you've just found it.
Close to all the village amenities and with stunning views and the nicest hosts you would want to meet, this place ticks all the boxes.
We shall be back......
