Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This campsite is really a jewel of the west of Ireland while not like many of the other more commercial sites we visited on our trip along the wild Atlantic way the facilities were clean and it had everything you needed. You are right on the beach and with some of the best views you can get in Connemara. There is plenty to do in the area also. To top it all off the owners are very accommodating and friendly and always on hand to offer advice on what to do in the area. I would not hesitate visiting this site again if in the area

We are so delighted with our experience at Connemara Caravan and Camping. Regina is thorough and hardworking and yet easygoing and friendly, facilitates are always clean and the fact that you can wake up and be swimming in crystal clear water in under a minute is just unbeatable. Totally in love with this place, thankfully we’re booked in for the whole summer! ❤️

Spectacular location with access to beach. The site is basic, but adequate, though a lot of improvement work was underway. Shower/toilet block was clean. Regina is a great host. Great value for money, this is one of few sites in Ireland that doesn’t charge a single caravaner the same as a couple. I look forward to returning!

6 nights here in the most gorgeous sunshine. The location is stunning...right on the most beautiful beach and with a backdrop of stunning rugged mountains, paradise. We camped and had a lovely site for our family tent with stunning sea and mountain views. Very sad to tear ourselves away. Will definitely be back.
Showers, toilets and kitchen for washing up dishes etc. Constant hot water in showers with good pressure. We would definitely recommend for a remote escape. Perfect for self sufficient campers. Thanks Connemara Camping for amazing memories 👌😍

My favourite campsite along the Wild Atlantic Way so far. Such a beautiful location & the views were spectacular. Direct beach access was an incredible bonus & the beach itself was vast, clean and great for swimming as it was flat and sandy underfoot. The site was immaculate & very chilled out. We just loved it.

A fantastic location to stay and easy booking process. We haven’t found Ireland to be very motorhome friendly for parking so being able to walk down to the beach was amazing. When the tides in watch the waves crashing from the rocks, stunning and mesmerising. We were there at the end of the season so could pick our own pitch. Prices average for the area, the toilet and shower facilities were clean but there was little hot water, still worth it for the views and beach access though. It was very windy during our stay but some still braved the top pitches.

We had a really fantastic week in this site. We were very lucky with the weather also it was warm and sunny every day. The location of the campsite is excellent. The campsite has its own private beach when the tide is in and when its out you can walk to Lettergesh beach. Its a lovely clean and relatively quiet beach. The facilities were cleaned very regularly. The site itself is pretty relaxed and all pitches aren't clearly marked which can be confusing whe you first arrive. Regina and her husband are lovely people and helped us out with anything we needed. There is so much to do closeby to this site. Within a few kilometers you have multiple walks and mountains, such as the Western way and Diamond Hill. We went on a lovely walk on a trail from Rosroe pier along Killary Harbour. There is quite a decent chipper in Tully Cross just a few kilometers away. I'd highly recommend this campsite to anyone both young and old.

The location of the campsite is brilliant so close to the water a few steps away. That is the saving grace of the site. 2 toilets and 4 showers for the whole site. Very limited hot water. Grass pitches on steep hills. Over priced for facilities present 47 euro a night for caravan with no awning.

Lovely campsite with an amazing view and what felt like a private beach! Lovely facilities and always hot water. Loved it!

Easy to find and able to park the car next to the tent. Fridge and freezer for food and ice packs as well as plug points - all very helpful!

Just home from a trip to Connemara and had an fantastic few days at Connemara Camping. The hosts Regina and Liam were terrific, so friendly and helpful. Facilities were very well kept, plenty of sanitising and always seemed to clean with plenty of hot water. The location is amazing, gorgeous beach at the end of the park with a mountain backdrop. We were two families with teenagers and nobody wanted to go home. Bikes are handy for getting about and lots of local advice available. We can’t wait to go back!!!!Thanks Regina and Liam.
