First of all, I apologize for having missed the timing to write the review - my period of stay was back in June 2018, but as I was on a 30-day trip around Europe and stayed in so many places and cities, I've ended up forgetting this one. Anyway, it was an excellent b&b! After a long drive along the Wild Atlantic Way (which I strongly recommend), there we were, a friend and I. The hosts were so kind and warm, the breakfast was delicious, the room was perfectly tidy! And the view of the landscape we had from the window was beautiful, with all that green and blue! A place to remember!
Tony and his wife were so kind and the room was heavenly! Highly recommend Baywatch, 2 mins walk from great hotel and pubs too.gorgeous spot for seeing the stunning Renvyle Peinsula and the Wild Atlantic Way.loads of great books and DVDs if weather bad but otherwise just get out and enjoy!
We had booked in advance for our walking trip. We arrived at the B and B. A little note was left that if nobody was home we would be welcomed at the hotel in the center a few meters away. Very nice room with view on the fields. Breakfast is taken at the Maol Reidh Hotel owned by Tony (owner of B and B) also. He cooked a great breakfast for us and took a lot of care making up the plates that looked great. Really warm welcome from him and his wife and Patch the dog of the house. Thank you
This is a fantastic place to stay on the spectacularly beautiful Renvyle Peninsula. A few short steps from the end of the driveway will take you to the charming village of Tullycross which has an outstanding restaurant and pub. Baywatch owners Tony and Geraldine Conneely take excellent care of their guests, and their B&B has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Tony also owns the Maol Reidh Hotel in Tullycross, and delicious breakfasts are served in the hotel dining room. The breakfast selections are varied, and the generous servings provide ample fortification for an active day of hiking and exploring. Animal lovers will find Baywatch a special place. Patch, a border collie, has never met a stranger, and Sooty, a black cat, makes it her business to check on you from time to time. My wife and I stayed here for four nights, and we wish we could have stayed longer. When we return to the Renvyle Peninsula, we will definitely stay with Tony and Geraldine again, and we highly recommend the Baywatch B&B.…
Thanks again Geraldine and Tony for their terrific hospitality. Myself and girlfriend stay here when we base ourselves in connemara and we love it. So welcoming and place is in a great part of the west. Fantastic Value and we will be down again next year for sure. Thanks again Ciaran and Jennie
A big thank you to Geraldine and Tony yet again another amazing time here at Baywatch it’s a quality B/B the beds are so comfortable everywhere spotless food delicious plenty of choices thanks again to a amazing couple who would do anything for you to make your stay complete and not to forget patch the faithful hound
Excellent stay. We were the only guests Tony had that evening and he took excellent care of us. Great room, very comfy bed and very clean. Tony is an exceptional host. Tullycross is also a village not to be missed. It is a special place indeed, worth a stop. Best food we’ve had so far.
The hotel was clean & comfortable, the hosts welcoming and they have a large selection of books with a delightful living area where you can while away the time looking over the bay as the rain pours down. We were a bit surprised when told our breakfast would be taken 100 metres down the road at the Maol Reidh hotel, which the B&B owners have recently purchased, but then again the surprise turned out to be exceptionally pleasant. The staff were friendly, the cooked breakfast was of brunch proportions and went well beyond the standard sausage and bacon that's usually proposed as a full Irish. My fish (something caught locally though I can't remember what) was cooked to perfection! If travelling through Galway again, we'd make a point of coming back here.
A special thanks to Tony and Geraldine for a perfect stay for our family. We were booked into three rooms and each was clean and neat as a pin. The remainder of the house was at our disposal and we were made to feel comfortable throughout our stay. Of particular note were the comfortable beds and high quality bedding, the best we've ever experienced in a B&B. The Baywatch is a short walk to the village (2 minutes) where the Maol Reidh Hotel is located, which is also owned by Tony and Geraldine. Breakfast is served here each morning and includes a wide variety of cereals, juices, fruits, breads as well as several made to order options (including a full-Irish). Special thanks to our server Aine who made us feel welcome each morning, as did the family dog Patch. We also had a couple of evening meals there during our stay in Tullycross and Tony and his staff did not disappoint. My wife is a vegetarian and appreciated the options on both the breakfast and dinner menus. And don't skip the desserts. We almost did and would have regretted it. We have stayed in several different spots in Tullycross over the years, but will make it a point to return to the Baywatch next time we come back. P.S. The room rates are also a bargain.....…
