This is an old school castle hotel with most guest between 60-80 years. Although we liked the interior from a bygone age, we thought that some parts need a renovation (e.g. our room). Our room had no river view, but a hugh bathroom old style. We liked the dining room with river view and the tasty gourmet food. A highlight...

Our one night stay here was a birthday surprise for my sister so unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to experience all that is on offer..... I would love to have had at least one more night. This is truly a magical place, the grounds are simply stunning and the building itself is gorgeous. We had a river view room...

My husband and I have just returned from two nights at Ballynahinch and we were absolutely blown away! Having only visited Dublin and Galway City, Ballynahinch is set in the most breathtaking setting - how many of us imagine Ireland to really be. The castle itself really doesn't disappoint on setting, comfort, style and service. Everything was wonderful from start...

This was a stay of our dreams...We had always wanted to stay at a castle hotel. This was a very scenic couple hour drive from the Shannon airport. Nestled amongst the Irish countryside surrounded by rivers and lakes. We had a lovely experience here. There are tons of activities to do like bicycling around the hotel compound, fly fishing, etc....

Upon entering the Ballynahinch you feel the warmth and charm of this beautiful castle hotel. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. Where your adventure begins is on the grounds. Even if you are not here to take part in the fly fishing or shooting, you will not regret staying here. The walking trails are breath taking and very romantic....

The hotel is located in beautiful grounds alongside the Owenmore river and Ballynahinch lake. There are several trails that are well worth exploring. The old part of the castle is full of character with open fires in most common rooms. We had a large bedroom in the newer wing, with an large bathroom and open dressing room and lovely views...

We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our daughter's wedding in October 2016. The management and staff were extremely accommodating to make this special event memorable for all our 100 guests at this unique location. In addition, the wines and menu were of exceptional quality.

We stayed at the Ballynahinch for three nights, and we're blessed with some good weather in mid December! We were greeted my Marion, who has mastered a perfect blend of humour and service. The castle is amazing, a perfect mix of history, tradition and luxury. We were given a beautiful riverside suite with direct access to the gardens from our...

Ballynahinch is like no place I have ever stayed. It is a castle but not like the traditional castle one would first think of. It is more like a manor or old gentlemen's hunting lodge. The service was mostly excellent. I say mostly because I feel the restaurant/bar service was lacking a bit in both attitude and speed. The food...

The hotel is located on incredible grounds that are very beautiful. We spent a few hours when we arrived walking around the walks on the grounds admiring the lake. The old part of the castle is very well decorated. Most common rooms have an open fire and the bar and restaurant serve high quality (a little pricey) food. The...
