Travelled as a couple also with our dog, this is a real dog friendly hotel with two very nice drawing rooms where you can sit have a drink and a chat with the dog with you. Check in very easy room spotless with super views over the Lough (we were in room 11), as we were directly above the dining room clearly some noise when service in progress but as quiet as the grave otherwise.
Food is good, excellent breakfast, though they could slow it down just a tad to leave a little more room between courses but really a small point. Bar is cozy with a rather good pint of Guinness.
The hotel seems to be very popular with anglers and walkers so if you are into either of these pastimes I suspect this would be an excellent spot.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in the Lough Inagh Lodge in June this year. Staff were very helpful and the service was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner in the hotel - we even ate our dinner outside with a view of the beautiful mountains. A relaxing escape from the busyness!

Maire and her Lough Inagh Lodge stand apart from all other lodgings during our 2-week 2013 summer trip to Ireland. The fact that I still remember vividly our incredible experience speaks volumes. Maire and her staff gave great suggestions for excursions, and served us delicious food in the quaint elegant dining room with the splendid view of the lake and the mountains. The rooms were charming and comfortable. Here is an example of Maire's superior service: my husband left his jacket there, and she mailed it back to him in Canada, at her expense! I presume she can't afford to do this on a regular basis, but we sure did appreciate her kind gesture. Maire still runs the place, thankfully. You will enjoy meeting her and her staff. I highly recommend Lough Inagh Lodge! Enjoy this little bit of Irish heaven!

Husband dog and mysef had a lovely 2night escape in this gorgeous hotel
recently.Dogs may sleep in the bedrooms which are spacious and beautifully furnished.
Coco loved her walks on the banks of Lough Inagh each morning and evening.Enjoyed our hearty breakfast as we admired panoramic view from restaurant. Dinner was also a treat - both in restaurant and the cosy authentic bar. Husband enjoyed the creamy pints too 😉 Perfect location for discovering Connemara and relaxing with a book by an open fire after a hectic day .
All Covid safety measures are strictly adhered too. We felt safe at all times.
Staff are friendly and professional .
We hope to see Maire Thomas and her team again .

We booked a meal here whilst holidaying in Connemara. We ate in the bar. The food was really nice, the waiter was very friendly but it felt like we were eating in our own kitchen. There was no music playing and we could hear everything said at the only other table occupied in the bar that evening. It was slightly off putting! The place was lovely but really lacked atmosphere!

Stayed for 7 days at lough inagh Lodge, the drive to the lodge is really beautiful, the lodge has amazing views of the twelve bens and mamturk mountains, with lough inagh across the road. When we checked in we had some lunch in the bar which was exceptional. The room we had was a deluxe double and it was absolutely beautiful with a big four poster bed and wonderful views of the mountains. The owner is very nice and helpful and we felt very welcome from start to finish. The food in the resteraunt is very good and very consistent. I especially loved the salmon it was amazing. We will definitely be back at some stage. Thanks to all the staff who made the experience one to remember

Wonderful dog friendly hotel. Maire and her team make you so welcome, fantastic service in relaxed surroundings and delicious food. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. The food (lunch, dinner and bar food) is real gourmet dining served in such a relaxing atmosphere.
The lounges are comfortable and cosy, where you can enjoy pre and post dining drinks and the company of other guests.
The team in Lough Inagh make your stay so relaxing and enjoyable.
Can’t wait to return again and again.

2 adults, 2 kids and our 1 year old springer spaniel recently stayed at lough inagh lodge for 3 nights.

Location, scenery, food, facilities and even the weather were all fantastic.

One of our kids has severe allergies which is always a challenge when dining out. The attention paid to his dietary needs was fantastic. The front of house staff and kitchen staff all went out of their way to ensure that he thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.

We have very fond memories of staying at lough inagh over 20 years ago and were a bit worried that it might not live up expectations. Having revisited 20 years later with 2 kids and a very lively dog in tow I have to say those fears were unfounded.

Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay and for helping create great memories for out kids.

Dominic directed us to the most fantastic beach we've ever seen. Maura was wonderfully helpful and accommodating and Thomas ( behind the bar) made sure that we were very well looked after and entertained.

Fantastic all round. We won't wait 20 years for the next visit.

Tom

From arrival to departure we absolutely loved every minute here.
We were checked in by a great guy (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name!!) and from the first minute we arrived he looked after us impeccably, we literally wanted for nothing.
I noticed he always checked in on us in the front room, without being invasive and, would happily chat or not, he really is a pro & just knows his stuff & also the young lady who worked the evening shift was a great waitress and also attentive and took care of us so well!
This is your typical old shooting lodge style property with a homely feel and ambiance to it and it’s as if your mum has turned into a professional cook and made your dinner for you!
The food was absolutely gorgeous!
You’re in the middle of no where so please do book dinner and eat here. They deserve the business ten fold!!
We sat in the lounge and had a bottle of wine by the fire when we arrived, chilled out & simply enjoyed the view, the gardens & the walk across the road down to the water, our little dog lay in front of the big open fire and they even made us up a dining table in the front room rather than the dining room.
Just so we didn’t have to move really and meant Grace our little dog could enjoy the fire throughout the evening.

The rooms are so comfortable, clean & quiet, we were in room 1 on the ground floor, huge room, dressing space & separate bathroom. Great views to the front of the lodge & over the road to the water, and also the side garden.

Breakfast was equally as good as dinner & we wished we had another night here!

I would hesitate to recommend you to stay here if you want peace, tranquility, great true Irish ☘️ hospitality and a home from home feeling.

What an experience, staff so friendly and attentive. Food excellent and you must have the crab meat salad 👍 and the fishing on the lake is very exciting. Well worth a visit for either a night stop over or longer. So peaceful on the shores of Lough Inagh between the two mountain ranges with numerous walks within minutes if the hotel.
