2 adults, 2 kids and our 1 year old springer spaniel recently stayed at lough inagh lodge for 3 nights. Location, scenery, food, facilities and even the weather were all fantastic. One of our kids has severe allergies which is always a challenge when dining out. The attention paid to his dietary needs was fantastic. The front of house staff and kitchen staff all went out of their way to ensure that he thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. We have very fond memories of staying at lough inagh over 20 years ago and were a bit worried that it might not live up expectations. Having revisited 20 years later with 2 kids and a very lively dog in tow I have to say those fears were unfounded. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay and for helping create great memories for out kids. Dominic directed us to the most fantastic beach we've ever seen. Maura was wonderfully helpful and accommodating and Thomas ( behind the bar) made sure that we were very well looked after and entertained. Fantastic all round. We won't wait 20 years for the next visit. Tom…
Seven of us arrived to Lough Inagh Lodge for a two night stay, we were warmly met and welcomed by Maire. We had a wonderful few days here at this lovely hotel. Food fantastic, service great. Well done Maire, Dominic, Dara and the team for making our stay so memorable. We hope to be back one day soon.
My husband and I stopped by for a fabulous lunch after Kylemore Abbey. Absolutely beautiful views of a lake and mountain, we were blessed to sit outside as we ate. Fantastic service and friendly people. We hope to book a room next year!
Stopped in for a late lunch on my back to Galway from Kylemore Abbey. I was seated outside as only hotel guests could dine inside due to Covid restrictions. Such a beautiful and peaceful setting and a pleasure meeting the owner Maire O’Connor. I will return to stay here!
Stayed here for two nights on a fishing trip on the lake. Lovely big room with fantastic big very comfortable bed.. nice outdoor area for pre dinner drink. Excellent dinner in Dining room very friendly helpful staff. Very good freshly cooked breakfast & take out sandwich lunch. Highly recommended
Wonderful dog friendly hotel. Maire and her team make you so welcome, fantastic service in relaxed surroundings and delicious food. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. The food (lunch, dinner and bar food) is real gourmet dining served in such a relaxing atmosphere. The lounges are comfortable and cosy, where you can enjoy pre and post dining drinks and the company of other guests. The team in Lough Inagh make your stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Can’t wait to return again and again.
Lovely hotel in an amazing setting in the heart of Connemara! The lodge offers some great fishing grounds and views. Colin the fishery manager has a great knowledge of the beats and lake. Well worth a visit.
We stayed in October as return guests. Accommodation is lovely a fabulous a fine size room and very comfortable bed. The public lounges are gorgeous with open fires,so welcoming. There is a bar too We dined in their lovely dining room with fine fires in to the mountains and lough Inagh itself. The food is wonderful. Dinner was excellent and great value. This is very good food with great local provenance. Breakfast too was excellent. Not your usual fayre. Plaice and liver on the menu. Yoghurt with home made apple compote was delicious. You can’t beat simple things done well! Delicious marmalade.
What an experience, staff so friendly and attentive. Food excellent and you must have the crab meat salad 👍 and the fishing on the lake is very exciting. Well worth a visit for either a night stop over or longer. So peaceful on the shores of Lough Inagh between the two mountain ranges with numerous walks within minutes if the hotel.
Travelled as a couple also with our dog, this is a real dog friendly hotel with two very nice drawing rooms where you can sit have a drink and a chat with the dog with you. Check in very easy room spotless with super views over the Lough (we were in room 11), as we were directly above the dining room clearly some noise when service in progress but as quiet as the grave otherwise. Food is good, excellent breakfast, though they could slow it down just a tad to leave a little more room between courses but really a small point. Bar is cozy with a rather good pint of Guinness. The hotel seems to be very popular with anglers and walkers so if you are into either of these pastimes I suspect this would be an excellent spot. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back in the future.…
