This was my second time on Inishbofin and at the Dolphin Hotel. It only gets better. I booked on the Spring Birdwatching weekend which is excellent. The guide Anthony McGeehan is second to none in his knowledge of the island's birds and habitats, is easy in his skin and works hard to give everyone an interesting and entertaining day. You'll...

Just back from a long weekend on Bofin, and we could have stayed for a few more days given the chance! Pat Coyne is the consummate host, friendly and chatty without being overly so, very funny, if you have a somewhat cynical sense of humour! and very helpful as well as knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble for Pat, but...

The owner Pat, perfect host, charming, fun, great sense of humor and a fount of knowledge for all things Irish and Inishbofin, picked us up at the docks and made sure we were all comfortably arranged in our rooms. Clean, stylish, great beds and fantastic views. We were there to explore family roots and Pat and his sister Marie were...

Stayed with our dog last week, beautiful spotless room opening out onto the lawn. It is a hotel where it feels so "home from home". Everybody talks to everyone else about all topics,if you are alone or lonely here it really is your own fault. Despite being so busy the place was spotless and staff were constantly cleaning while carrying on...

We went as a couple on a mid week break recently- the weather was not in our favor but could have been worse. The hotel , however was excellent, accommodation was clean and a little basic but so comfortable, food was second to none including a freshly cooked Irish breakfast. On the first night we we party to a concert...

Just a short ride/walk up the hill from the harbor is the Dolphin Hotel. Pat Coyne, the host/owner, is charming and funny and regaled us with stories upon our arrival. Our rooms were large, clean and bright with access to an outdoor patio. Everyone was friendly and helpful; we had both dinner and breakfasts there which were wonderful. Pat was...

This is a great place to stay in Inishbofin. Just the view from the restaurant made us decide to stay for one more night! The hotel is located ideally on this incredible island. It's not too close to the hustle and bustle of the port - which is really a quiet port :D -it's about 700 meters from it (Pat,...
