Just returned from weekend in innisboffin house hotel with my family and we had a wonderful time delicious food dinner on both nights was exceptional the lamb veg and creamy mash potatoes on saturday was georgeous we will be back
Excellent experience, very clean rooms, superb breakfast, good value. The female staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Would recommend this to all types of visitors. The bar food is great value and very well presented. Highly recommend it.
Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Lovely rooms, mine had a balcony overlooking the bay. Really beautiful and such good value for money. Food and staff were top notch too, look forward to returning one day!
Our family group stayed here for the weekend. Innisboffin House Hotel is a five minute walk from the pier. The hotel is modern, staff are particularly friendly and altogether helpful. Rooms are spotlessly clean with a fantastic shower. The view from the hotel is breath taking be sure to check out the observatory room where you can sit and relax it also houses a piano...The food is delicious we had breakfast and lunch. Would recommend walking around the island there are some hidden gems. The Islanders were lovely. We will return summer 2022. Thank you to all the staff. From the Dublin group.
Stayed here with a group of friends and no complaints all around. Room was clean and neat and views spectacular. Accommodation staff were lovely and chatty and servers in the bar and restaurant made our stay. The atmosphere is upbeat and it feels almost family run. Will definitely be returning next year. Breakfast was not great but other than that our stay was wonderful.
Given hospitality sectors'staff shortages this small hotel has done well with its restaurant and bar staff. Covid compliant, room not serviced daily however fresh towels and toiletries are left outside your room. Food in restaurant was great.
Room was fine, clean and bed comfortable. Noisy on the corridors with kids running up and down but it's a family hotel so that's expected The young staff in the bar and the restaurant were super helpful, friendly, professional and doing their best. Think there is a lot of pressure due to staff shortages so in these circumstances everyone was doing their best. Breakfast was really good and we also had dinner here too and it was lovely. Nice views outside and in a great location. It is a 3 star hotel, operating as a 3 star hotel and everything was fine :-)
On the way up to our room we noticed piles of laundry thrown onto the first floor landing area. Not a good sign! Management?? Laundry trolleys??? Hello?! The toilet hadn't been flushed when we entered the room. Yuck! The tea/ coffee in the rooms was cheap: basically a load of sachets stuffed into a plastic cup. There was a hole on the shower wall. The island itself is beautiful. The beaches are the purest you'll ever see. But, don't stay here.
I visited the island for a friend's birthday celebration.I had stayed two nights previously in days b&b and then due to not booking a third night on time had to book the hotel for a night.I was looking forward to the peace and quiet of the hotel for my last night as the pub can be noisy I found the experience very disappointing, the lady at check in was not very welcoming but did allow me to check in a little early which was a bonus. Room itself was a good size and was clean. Hairdryer in bathroom was broken so I made my way to reception to see if I could borrow another one, the gentleman at reception did not take his eyes off his computer screen when I spoke to him and said he would drop the dryer to my room. I never received the hairdryer. We had no sleep with the fire alarm going off around 2.30am for some time and eventually dropped. We were unsure what to do and saw no staff member walking around when we stuck our head out the bedroom door. Again the fire alam went off at 4am and woke everyone up and again there was no night staff walking the corridors to reassure people that there was actually no fire. This alarm went off again in the morning. We had an awful night's sleep. No apology was given by staff when we went to check out, the same gentleman I dealt with the day before was at reception so I knew he didn't care. I told him we had an awful sleep due to alarm going off. I was told someone was smoking in their room and that was why it went off !! No discount was given only a weak apology. This is a poorly managed hotel that has such potential but unfortunately other than the young staff at breakfast motivation and customer service is lacking. Breakfast took 40 mins to come and was ok no local produce or home made breads or jams etc. Their high prices do not reflect in their breakfasts ,room or front reception staff customer service. I would not recommend this hotel. My stay in Days b&b was half the price, rooms granted are much smaller and it can be noisy at times but with the really good atmosphere, great customer service and yummy breakfast ,I would stay there instead and pay half of what you pay for this hotel. Very disappointing…
Love this hotel in terms of its location on Inishbofin and its lovely garden beside the old harbour. The staff are great especially David in the bar he works so hard. The breakfast was excellent and we had very well presented and tasty food in the bar one evening. We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and have always enjoyed it and we had a great stay this time. However the room we stayed in 206 does need a major revamp in terms of the fixtures and fittings. We were told that the rooms on the first floor have been upgraded but sadly we were not in one of these rooms. Overall the hotel needs some TLC in terms of the communal areas and bar which would really improve the overall appearance and customer experience. We were told by staff that all the rooms are to be upgraded so hopefully when we return this will be the case. It also has to be noted that this is only a 3 star hotel and when it first opened it was on a par with any 4 star hotel. To get back to that level an investment is needed to bring the hotel back to its previous level. Thanks to all the staff who are working so hard in such difficult times.…
