DescriptionAtlantic Wave is a beautiful, comfortable house filled with paintings made by the owner. The B&B offers to its guests 4 comfortable rooms with sea view (2 on first floor and 2 on ground floor) and a private lounge with TV-DVD on the ground floor. Each bedroom has its own bathroom facilities. Breakfast is served in the spacious dining room and includes a large variety of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt and of course the traditional Irish breakfast. You can order other combinations. The most charming about Atlantic Wave is the fact that it is only 5 minutes walking distance from the beach and it is also not too far from Twelve Bens, in southern direction. In the surroundings, the city of Clifden, with its 2000 habitants, is considered the capital of Connemara.

Quiet place and a lovely host. The kids enjoyed the beach (quiet and secure) and we enjoyed the pub that is nearby. The house was beautiful with great views.
Everyone on the island was very friendly. We will come back for sure.

A home from home, the accommodation was perfect, beautiful and clean. Caitlin was a fantastic host, she made me feel so welcome. The house has breathtaking views of the ocean and adjoining islands. Breakfast was delicious and set me up for the day of travelling I had ahead. I will surely return as soon as possible for a longer stay.

My husband and I spent one night here. We were welcomed by Caitlin the guest house owner and provided with tea and buns immediately. The view from our room was so incredible it was like a picture postcard. We loved the peace and quiet and the breakfast was freshly made with Caitlin,s homemade brown bread. If only all b & b were like this.the wifi was very quick at no extra charge. The only thing that I personally would have liked was tea making facility in room as I love a very early morning cuppa.

Americans like us love Ireland because the people are warm, gentle, and hospitable in a way that we do not much encounter in our own country, or elsewhere. Caitlin exemplifies this Irish gentleness; she's thoughtful, considerate and kind as well as hospitable.
The location of the Atlantic Wave is magnificent: It is at the end of a lane on the island, and it was blessedly quiet. Mweenish island is absolutely beautiful. We spent our days in Galway city and in Connemara National Park - Diamond Hill is a great climb for a fair-weather day - but the best times of all were our evening strolls around Mweenish Island. Anyone who appreciates the lovely qualities of Ireland - Mweenish Island and the Atlantic Wave are the ultimate examples.

Dear Caitlin,
Thank you so much for your warm hospitality, your place felt like home to us. You and your husband Michael were so gracious and welcoming to our family. We so much appreicated all your generous help and knowledge regarding your beautiful area of Carna. You genuinely helped in our search for my Grandfather's family. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and hated to leave such a beautiful, magical place and such lovely people.
Thank you so much Caitlin, we will visit you again.

The Atlantic Wave has amazing views of the sea and is in the most wonderful unspoilt environment of Mweenish Island. Despite being very handy from Carna Mweenish Island feels remote and the B&B overlooks the wild Atlantic. On a sunny day it is like paradise. I hadthe
beach to myself the whole day. Caitlin is a lovely person too and will give you a warm Irish welcome and a good breakfast. My favourite place in the whole of Ireland. Lovely for peaceful walks and cycle rides by the sea with views of the mountains of Galway. I'd happily stay a fortnight just in that one place.

Lovely place to spend a few days. So quiet and peaceful. Right beside a beech too. Unfortunately I didn't get down to it. The scenery was spectacular around the area. The hosts are very friendly and look after you well and breakfast was one of the best I've every had. The room was lovely ans the bed super comfy. Would definetly visit again if I was around.

I love it here, I've just returned from Atlantic wave, it is now and always has been the most amazing special place. Caitlin as always is the perfect host, to me she has become a dear friend. Always pleased to see me, and with the traditional irish hospitality, a pot of tea when I arrive :-) which is always welcome. Caitlin has a beautiful home which is always immaculate. Breakfast is more than enough to see you through the day until your evening meal, with a selection of cereal, a full irish breakfast and soda bread that never disappoints. As well as tea or coffee there is fresh orange juice. The views from the dining room while eating breakfast are stunning. The island is a fabulous mesmerising place. Peaceful and beautiful with fabulous sandy beaches. I have been here many times now, and will always return. Caitlin and Michael are great people who make everyone feel welcome. It has been a pleasure to of stayed with them again and I am honoured that they let me share there home for a while, time and time again. I look forward to returning and it can't come quick enough. See you again soon :-) x

Just spent three nights at Atlantic Wave. The island is a beautiful place. Very tranquil and Caitlin is a lovely lady. I really was well looked after while I was there. Particularly enjoyed my guided walk to the beach by Sheba the collie. I would definitely stay here again.
