Detailed Reviews
We are a group of friends doing the Beire Breifne way walk through Ireland. We stayed in Valerie’s and every one of us loved it, we were made feel so welcome by genuinely lovely people, we were even invited to a 50th birthday party in the function room , rooms while basic were clean and water was lovely and hot which is massive after a days walking , food was lovely but the jewel in the crown was the Guiness , my god it was fantastic. In our group we are all Irish and sometimes forget why we love Ireland but people and places like this are there to remind you

The love and attention showered upon us during our short visit made us feel like we were part of their family! They were enormously hospitable, warm, and accommodating. And the music was stupendous. Not only did we have Seamus Shannon on the accordion, but Valerie herself sang and her Mom played the tin whistle. It was an afternoon delight!

You come across a place....
It doesn't look like much, but, I won't say gem. But we just had a great time.
Stumbled across this pub by accident and stayed for lunch.
Therese made us feel at home and treated us as part of the family. Food was simple and delicious.
If you're passing. Drop in. Especially on a Sunday for some great Irish Craic.

An absolute gem of a public house/bed and breakfast with an atmosphere akin to home , with a magnificent staff who really go that extra mile to make all weary travelling Cartographers/Workmen/Tourists feel at home, and who are also willing to provide an evening meal on request , fit for " Ploughman" not to mention the banter/conversation and musical entertainment which can occur when least expected !!!!!!!!! It is also a great " Rendevous " for Traditional / Country/ Folk / and Operatic music on occasion !!!! and the Propieter (Valerie) herself is a well established Traditional and " Sean Nos " (Old Style )singer of note

Valaries of Aughrim do nice food; the facilities are very clean; the Management and staff are friendly and prompt. The chips are delicous but my favourite part of the building I have to say is the front bar. It looks so unique with the fireplace and the old style photographs around this aera.

We stopped her on our way back to Dublin from a day trip. Our travel was off season so many places closed early. We arrived around 7 pm and was welcomed by the owner. The menu was limited but what was available was awesome and the service impeccable.
