This trip was our second time staying at Kilmurvey House. With the current Covid-19 issues, we were not sure what to expect. We shouldn't have worried. Treasa was the ultimate host. Sanitiser was placed at every entrance and masks were worn in public places. Everything else was the same as before.

Our room was excellent, spotless and well equipped. Tea/Coffee making facilities were located in the lounge and written procedures were present to help address the Covid-19 requirements.

The food was its usual extremely high quality. The buffet was reduced in scope with everything individually wrapped to ensure Covid compliance. Treasa has also worked hard to ensure social distancing for the guests including the layout of the dining room which changes daily depending on who she has staying at Kilmurvey House

Each day of our stay we ordered packed lunches...WOW!!!...If you do nothing else, treat yourself to one of Treasa's packed lunches before you head out for your day of exploring (you won't need dinner!!)...A selection from home made brown bread, butter, cheese, tomato, egg, ham, tuna, fruit, tea/coffee, muffin or fruit cake are provided.

Kilmurvey house is a perfect location from which to explore the northern half of Inishmore.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had an exceptionally good experience. As a electric wheelchair user I was very satisfied with the attitude of the house owner. The house is beautiful, breakfast was so delicious. Room was clean and comfortable.
A taxi was provided to and from the house.
Thank you so much it was one of the best holidays acommodations I ever had for this price.
The only disadvantage of this place is that there was no lift and rooms for guests are on the 2nd floor.
But in my case it was not so big problem.

We arrived at Inis Mor as the skies opened. Although we had jackets on, our clothes were soaked as were the spare clothes in our backpacks. Even our passports got wet through. Treasa was absolutely marvellous, she took all our wet clothes and those of the other five family members we were travelling with and dried them for us. Both her and Burtie were also very helpful with information of what to see and what to do. Our room was enormous with a very comfortable Californian king size bed. Our breakfast the next morning was excellent and Burtie drove us to the ferry. A lovely one-night stopover which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Whenever we visit Inishmore, our first stop is always Kilmurvey House. What a gem. Treasa is a most welcoming host and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Kilmurvey House is a great place from which to explore the top half of the island or as a base where you can enjoy the beautiful Blue Flag Kilmurvey beach and Dun Aenghosa. Treasa, or one of the family are always on hand if you need anything. Breakfast is fantastic, homecooked and plentiful; you will not go hungry. Treasa's packed lunches are a must and, if you really need any more food after the breakfast and lunch, there is a free shuttle bus to take you into Kilronan so you can explore the restaurants there in the evening. Kilmurvey House is a must for any stay on Inishmore. We have our 2022 visit booked already!!

We stayed here for one night when we visited Inismór and I wish the trip had been longer. This guest house is so special. Our room was so spacious and the bed was huge. The bathroom had a lovely bath and shower. Everything was very clean and Covid compliant. Yes this hostel is approx 4 miles from the port but that was perfect for us we just rented bikes and cycled there. It is right beside the entrance to Dun Aongas and Kilmurvey Beach, the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. And THE BREAKFAST. Holy moly. Insane. And Treasa made us feel so welcome and at home I really felt safe at Kilmurvey Guesthouse.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay in this excellent B & B. The owner, Treasa, and her family provided great food (terrific breakfast), a fine big room, many lifts here and there, home baking we could bring with us on our walks, refilling our water bottles, and great directions. I would definitely recommend it. The location is marvellous. You can see the impressive Dun Aengus fort from the house and it's just a 20 min walk up. Best place to swim on Inis Mor is Kilmurvey beach, 5 mins from the house.

Noel was an exceptional host, meeting us at the ferry to grab our luggage and giving us great suggestions during our stay. This is a third generation family business and it was clear that they put care and skill into everything they do. Great location in the middle of the island made it an easy launching point to see some of the historical sites away from the ferry port, especially Dún Aonghasa / Dun Aengus.

We found Kilmurvey House by accident after there had been a mixup with our booking at a B&B in the village of Kilronan. It turns out to have been a happy accident, as I don't think we could have had better or more gracious hosts than Noel and Tessa with support from Noel's parents. If the weather turns foul, there is an ample library and plenty of board games to keep you happily occupied. Our family room was spotless and commodious, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. (Don't miss the berry yogurt compote, with homemade granola!) The location at the (literal) base of Dun Angus is beyond convenient, with a small number of shops and coffee/tea houses immediately nearby. The staff run regular shuttles into Kilronan for shopping/pub/restaurant/ferry access, which made the combination of amenities unbeatable in every aspect. Cannot recommend this facility strongly enough.

My wife, one year old and I spent 3 days in Inishmore and had a wonderful experience staying in Kilmurvey House. We had a spacious family room with views across the island including Kilmurvey beach.

The breakfast and hospitality was fantastic throughout. Selecting breakfast from a well thought out menu with various options as well your traditional full Irish was a treat each morning.

The pick up service from the ferry was very helpful and gives you a great sense of the island as you travel the high or low road to Kilmurvey House. We also availed of this in the evenings so we could sample the food that Kilronan (main village) had to offer.

We spent time on Kilmurvey beach and also took a trip up to Dún Aonghasa which is located right next to the Kilmurvey House. There are various places to buy coffee, pastries, local products minutes from the door. Our favourite place for lunch each day was the Aran Seafood Cafe, which is an outdoor eatery with some cover, the main selling point are its specials of locally caught fish that day.

We look forward to returning to Kilmurvey House in the future. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Our annual trip to Inis Mór always starts with a visit to Kilmurvey House B&B. This is a fantastic hidden gem on Inis Mór. Treasa and Bertie always make the visit extra special with a really genuine welcome. The rooms are immaculately clean and there are several lounges for guests to use as they wish. The B&B is right beside the entrance to the world famous Dun Aonghasa site and only a matter of minutes walk from the Blue Flag Kilmurvey beach. We can thoroughly recommend Treasa's packed lunches; they are FANTASTIC!! Breakfasts are also extraordinary with a huge selection and a great start to the day. As with previous years, we will be back again next year.

Kilmurvey House is a few miles from the main village of Kilronan. However, the owners will arrange to collect you if you let them know what time you are arriving. Kilmurvey House is a beautiful place to stay - very comfortable and homely and right at the foot of Dun Aonghasa. As a repeat visitor I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
