Stayed one night with my family. Spotless, comfortable beds, good breakfast and friendly staff. Lovely beach nearby. We found the location good for attractions as we hired bicycles. It was a very quiet location with lovely scenery. I would stay there again.
Stayed here for one night during our stay on the Island, the staff were friendly, room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was nice but I will knock off one point as it was a little cold when it came out, sorry :-) Overall it contributed nicely to a very pleasant stay on Inis Mor.
Extremely disappointed in this over priced acommodation. It was located a good distance from Kilronan with a €25 return fare for 2 to get back to Kilronan. There was no warm breakfast, which was shocking considering the price. The lodge itself was full and it felt like we were staying in the neighbours house next door. Asked the owners for a lift, and they said no, whereas we met some other locals during our stay who generously offered us lifts. The water to shower was ice cold. Appalling service and shockingly overpriced.
Yosef Sean and Irene are exceptional hosts. Walkers lodge is spotless clean, delicious Irish breakfast from Irina. Yousef, is an excellent host, he gave me directions to cycle to the worm hole, dun Angus, and to get to the beach, all 3 where beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking and great storytelling. Sean was very kind and brought me up to a film set where they are making a film, it's a big budget film🙂 I would highly recommend the walkers lodge, thank you Josef, Sean & Irina, exceptional stay, Emily
I booked a room for myself and my parter (with email confirmation) and arrived to a sold out Inis Mor in August. The last email from the Aran Walkers Lodge noted "we are looking forward to your arrival". Just as we got off the boat I called the lodge and was told that our room had been given away and that they tried to call me. I received no calls from the lodge. The woman in the lodge told me she would try and help me find somewhere else to stay for the night but never called back and ignored my calls. After calling around for a while we finally found a place to sleep. Aran Walkers Lodge is an absolute joke and no one should stay there. We were lucky to find a place to sleep, what if there was nowhere? This review has been removed 2 times now for reasons unknown. This reviews abides by all of the TripAdvisor rules.…
We came to Inis Mór island to enjoy nature and relax a bit, away from buzzling Galway. Aran Walkers Lodge was perfect choice for us. It is bright, cozy and welcoming place, near a beach and walking distance from the historical fortress Dun Aonghasa. Our room was spacious, clean and fresh. Breakfast was lovely and filling, especially the local brown bread was amazing. Last but not least, big thanks to Jules who went extra mile to make our stay special. We will definitely be back next year to recharge in Aran Walkers Lodge and explore this beautiful island even more.
Where to start. I want to say thanks a million for the most wonderful stay in The Lodge. Julie-Anne was an amazing host, she did everything & more to make our stay fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was beautiful & had a great vibe & energy to it. Julie-Anne was a terrific guide & ambassador for the Island. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definitely be back. We can't wait to return to Inis Mor, he lodge & our Fabulous host Julie-Anne. We will Recommending you to all our friends. Thanks again for your superb Hospitality. 5 🌟
This accommodation is 6km from the pier. We booked an en-suite family room, but when we arrived only a shared bathroom was available to us, 6 adults sharing one shower room. We had also booked it on B&B basis, but on arrival had to pay an extra €10 per person for a cooked breakfast. The accommodation is extremely basic, I would class it more like a hostel than a B&B. If we wanted a taxi back into the village (the only place to get food) it was €5 per person each way, so for my husband and I with our 2 teenagers that would be €40 for a 12km total trip. The hostess was very pleasant and helpful. Overall I feel it was extremely overpriced and just rip off the tourist. The island is an amazing place to visit, with wonderful sights to see, and helpful locals, I will definitely return to this island, but not this accommodation. …
This place is now the Aran Walkers Lodge. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every minute...didn’t want to leave! Sean and Jules were lovely hosts who gave us loads of tips for the island and sights, and made us feel very welcome. The lodge is a fair way from the pier, but if staying overnight, it’s probably one of the best choices. It’s near the Kilmurvy beach which is amazingly clean and empty of people once the day trippers leave. It’s also near the worm hole and Dun Aengus. They have bikes for rental too, so everything you need is here! Dinner can be found in the nearby Kilmurvy village till 5. Our room had an amazing view of the Dun Aengus and sunrise and sunset. Who could ask for anything more?
We stayed here for one night, had a lovely time. The lodge is a 30 minute+ walk from the town but the tour buses will happily drop you at the lodge as they pass by it on their way to Dún Aonghasa. The property is located very close to Dún Aonghasa (about a 5 minute cycle....property will give you free bikes too!), there is also a small beach close by for a walk & a swim. The property itself is lovely, the receptionist is very helpful, the owner even gave us a lift down to the shop in his car. All in all we felt very well taken care of, if you're travelling to the islands this would be a solid choice.
