Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would have rated this property higher if not for the unaccommodating receptionist. Arriving shortly after noon on a quiet Sunday I was "greeted" by a young lady wearing a black facemask. She would not hear my request as to whether early check-in was possible, but instead recited the official line that I should leave my luggage in the corner and come back at 3PM. Having traveled all night on a flight from the US, I would have appreciated at least an attempt at finding an available room, especially when the hotel was less than full. So I rode around on the tram until 2:30PM and returned to the hotel to find a different and lovely receptionist who didn't throw the book at me. The rest of my stay was perfect and I highly recommend the Glashaus if you care to stay in Tallaght.

Hotel's Favourite
Pros - Excellent location for Luas into Dublin and also right next to shops and places to eat. Comfortable, modern, spacious rooms with tea/coffee, ironing board, iron and in one room there was a fridge, which was very useful as we were travelling with little kids. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and tried to be helpful with gluten-free options for one of the children. Cons - Putting in a code to use the lift was a little bit of a nuisance but I understand that this is a security feature - just wish they had told us when they changed the code! One of the rooms was serviced very well during our stay but the other was haphazardly serviced, eg no proper cleaning some days and no replenishment of tea/coffee etc.

We stayed on Halloween night to get away from the madness. Car park is underground and spaces are tight but they validate your ticket when checking out so at least it is free. Elevators (well elevator as the 2nd one was out of service) are a bit hit and miss - we were waiting a while on a few occasions and took stairs a few times as the space inside is pretty limited (you also need a four digit code to use it). Checking in was painless. Room was nice and big and clean with a comfy bed and decent bathroom/shower. We were right above the Luas line so expect the tram noise every 5 minutes from early morning to late night. TV was a smart TV so you can log in to Netflix or Disney etc. but the signal was a bit dodgy on a lot of the standard stations. We were here as a one night escape from the bonfires and fireworks so wanted a quiet place with good food and a nice bar. Food was decent - I had a steak which was really good and wife had ribs which were delicious. We both had wings to start - again really good. The bar itself was a bit meh - not much atmosphere and not many staff - the bar guy seemed to be doing everything - another person joined in for a while but there was less than what I would expect service-wise. They put menus on all tables but the one we sat on - we were not asked if we wanted to eat until they saw us with a menu we had to take from another table. There was no mention that one of the items on the menu was not available (happened to be what we both ordered so had to order again five minutes later). They had streaming music playing a bit too loud and just lacked a bit and felt a bit cold emotionally. Breakfast was OK - we both had eggs Benedict which was a bit bland but fine - nice to have a choice other than having to go for the full Irish. Service at breakfast was better and friendlier but they give a menu with prices on which made us realise that we were charged more for breakfast when we checked in than we would have paid if we just paid on the day. Small continental selection also available. I guess having the Luas and the Square shopping mall so close will work for some guests but for what we wanted it did not really hit the mark.

I've stayed here many times. The location is great, easy to get to by car or by tram. There is free onsite parking, although the car spaces are incredibly tight. I know this is nothing to do with the hotel as its a shared facility with other tenants. Reception is very efficient. When I checked in the person on reception greeted me by name. I've only met that person briefly once before but I'm impressed that he just said "Welcome Mr..." before I even opened my mouth. Furthermore, I have a preference forward particular facility in my room and before I even asked, he said that the room included that. This is a 3 star hotel, with 5 star service. The room is spotless and very up to date, with a decent TV, USB sockets next to the bed and a very comfortable mattress. I'm staying 2 nights this week. But back for 3 and then 4 nights next month. It's my go-to hotel when I'm working in Dublin.

Stayed here because the hotels in Dublin City centre were asking for a fortune. Easy to find, with its on car park. Nice staff. Food in the bar was good. Right next to the luas line. Its a nice alternative to the city centre

It’s my first time to stay in this hotel this year, mainly due to C19. However, as always, the staff are very courteous, the accommodation is very comfortable and the breakfast was first class. It’s good to see the hotel open again and I wish them all the best rebuilding their business.

Great value hotel very close to Tallaght Hospital. Staff were all so friendly and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar. Good breakfast too with good selection of fruit, cereas etc and a cooked breakfast to order. Room was very large with a great view over Dublin city. Only down side was dark stairs and rooms were quite detached from the reception area and bar.

Close to everything, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. Tallaght is small so the location was perfect. We reserved a triple bed for the first night and a double for the second as we were only 2 but they told us that we didn’t need to change rooms.
