Very difficult check in - they had no record of our booking and had to take my partners phone to check their system. We were asked to hand over passports which we did not have as we are from Ireland and we’re only staying one night - the receptionist was quite rude about this and didn’t understand why I wouldn’t have my passport at all times. You also need 4 keys to get into you room/elevator/front door/use electricity. Parking is a joke - you can park on one side of the fence but god forbid you park on the other side!! The hotel is very old fashioned and in need of a lot of cosmetic work. The elevators are handwritten floor numbers and each floor is actually the wrong floor - you have to go to floor 3 on the elevator to reach floor 4. There is a very distinct smell of spices in the halls, in fact it’s overpowering. Our room had a horrible stain on the wall which was the first thing we noticed when we entered - the room itself is large and has a large bathroom. There is tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, microwave and and iron/ironing board, there is no sockets near the beds, and minimal sockets in general, none within east access. Also, we must have been near the laundry room as from about 2am all we could hear was loud washing machines which made it very difficult to sleep. The heat in the room was unbearable during the night and even with the windows open we had to sleep Wouk no blanket.

Stayed here to go to the Punchestown festival which only 15 minutes away. Only 25 minutes from airport. Vast hotel complex but managed well. Buffet breakfast good and bar food very good. Steak sandwich was beautiful.! Despite size was quite quiet at night.

Terrible experience checking in and again when checking out. Far too expensive for what can now only be regarded as a 1 star hotel. Stayed here many time before years ago but will never go back. Avoid!!

It’s been a while since we stay her for a work conference at attached today the venue. The bar staff service was non existent. We ordered pints from the bar and we might have well been order them in outer space. Nobody in the bar area was taking charge, there were loads of staff on but didn’t have a clue what they were doing. Terrible bar service. Got our food eventually which was good. Our final bill and it was incorrect too surprise, surprise. Give you staff proper training please.

No room cleaning (8 days), no minibar, full payment request at arriving, no refund when cancelling, horrible food quality, unfriendly management, at the event place one-way knife and fork (was explained - i am not kidding - because people drink too much Alc and then get aggressiv - so for our and your safety).

There’s no fridge on the room, no room service, then you need to walk ages to grab some food. This fact makes the stay really annoying, cause if you are hungry during the night, only delivery apps can help you.

Horrible experience. I asked for the room to be cleaned and it wasn't. The next day I had to ask again and then after it was there was blood on the new towels. Brown substance came out of the taps. I caught an infection while staying there. The food was horrible.

CityWest care more about cutting cost of the food instead of the quality of it. That simple. Ive yet to experience a really good hotel breakfast at CityWest. Undercood bacon, wathered out Orange juice, Fried eggs with hard plum powder scrambeled egg instead of proper scrambeled egg witch is underseasoned and still floating in fluids when they serve it. And lack of options if you dont want a horrible Full Irish Breakfast.
