This was a Great hotel, it was our first time staying here, the location was fantastic, right in the middle of everything, the breakfast was lovely and the room was really spacious. The Staff were really nice and helpful, would not consider staying anywhere else.
Had a carvery lunch in the hotel today with a friend and the service from the new chef is 100%, we had a fabulous lunch for 2 for €27 the most reasonable price for around. plate was full and we were given extra gravy without having to ask, we have both left the hotel very happy customers.
We toured Ireland by car staying in 4* & 3* hotels, guest houses, B&B's and pubs. The was the worst hotel on our tour. We stayed 3 nights and were allocated a room at the rear of the hotel (213?) which overlooked an over ground car park and derelict buildings. The upside was that we had 2 quiet nights sleep. The room was clean, comfortable bed and dated furniture. Saturday night was awful. There was somekind of party going on in function rooms below us until 01.00am. At times we thought our bed was in the middle of the dance floor and then we had an hour or so of door banging and people from the party going from room to room. Awful. Your either a hotel or a function centre you can't be both. Every morning we went down to breakfast we met a restaurant with tables loaded with dirty dishes. There were always 3 or 4 waitresses hiding behind the bakery counter but only one ever seemed to do any work. Every hotel, B&B or even pub that I have ever stayed in always clears away dishes from tables as they are used not just leave them to pile up and then not clear them for some time afterwards. Finally on checkout 'extras' which I had not incurred were added to my bill. The duty manager removed them and apologised. Later that day I received a ping from my credit card company to say that an unauthorised charge had been made to my card by Bracken Court Hotel immediately this was followed by an email from Bracken Court attaching my invoice and the 'extras' I had not incurred. I threw an email back to Bracken Court and the duty manager immediately responded with a further apology that a member of staff had misunderstood his instructions and the unauthorised credit card charge had been cancelled. Would I recommend Bracken Court? No Will I be returning? No…
This hotel is very clean, and the rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We also enjoyed the beach around the corner. The bar is great as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Thought I had sent review earlier than this but for some reason didn’t go through I came here for a wedding and while we had a good time here had stayed an extra night when I checked my bank they had taken an extra €150 for a smoking charge in one of my 2 rooms but never told us anything just took it none of us even smoke we spoke to them and asked them to send us the proof of this but nobody answered just took my money and won’t give back beware scammers
The staff at reception were very nice, though we did not see much of them. We went to our room to find that the furniture is dated ; the fridge in the room does not work ; there had been an advertised safe but that does not work (we were told the hotel is waiting for them to be upgraded). We went for dinner, and were sent into the restaurant where the menu is same as the bar, which is a bit strange. I ordered the lasagne and found that it was ok but would have been better if they had not over done the top, which caused it all to stick to the bowl and become rock hard. We ordered breakfast to our room the next morning, all of our plates were cold so our breakfast was not warm at all. With the bathroom the shower does not work properly, as you cannot even wash your hair due to the fact that the water comes out very far back on the taps. The hairdryer in the bathroom is very dated and the one in the drawer in the bedroom did not even work.in general this stay was not worth the money hopefully things have inproved since 2020…
It's been a while since I wrote a proper review, but I was inspired (is that the right word) to write one for this hotel. The reason for this was simply the unfussy and very friendly way everything was dealt with. From smalltalk at the check-in, to bar service, to breakfast and checkout, it just seemed like everyone cared, and was prepared to put in the effort to make the customer welcome. Nice hotel, decent room, well maintained, and clean. Did not try the restaurant, but breakfast was good. Take a walk round the harbour, beach and Martello tower if you get the chance.
Comfortable hotel in the centre of Balbriggan with free underground car parking. Easy walking distance from the beach. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had difficulties with the shower control in the bathroom, which needs repair - we reported this to reception. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant.
Very enjoyable Easter break for one adult and two young children. The family room had a double, two single and one sofa bed. The room was spacious with plenty of storage, a large bathroom, two TV's and mini fridge. Water pressure and temperature for the bath and shower was excellent and toiletries and towels were plentiful. We arrived early so our luggage was left in a storeroom. I told the receptionist that it was my childrens' first time staying at a hotel and she arranged for balloons in the room when we checked in. They were delighted! Dinner in the bar that evening was delicious and reasonably priced. breakfast was great - the chef made pancakes especially (kids are expecting this treatment all the time now!), staff members were so friendly. Carvery lunch was great. The car park is easily accessible and we were able to leave the car until later in the afternoon before we left for home. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.…
Once again a lovely stay in this hotel. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, they cannot do enough for you. You always get a lovely greeting. It is always clean and the rooms are very comfortable indeed. All the food we had either in the bar, restaurant or breakfast was extremely tasty and very good value. The location is ideal for the town and local beach and amenities, and the local transport makes it within easy reach of Dublin or the airport. Hopefully it won't be long before we return again
