Where do I start!! From our first contact by phone to the warm greeting on arrival it was like home from home. John’s genuine & friendly welcome to his home was the start of our amazing weekend with 2 of our grandkids. Accommodating for a wheelchair user, ensuring all our needs were met from food, beverages and comfort we cannot fault Culdonagh Manor. Definitely planning another visit. 5 star ⭐️ treatment from a 5 ⭐️ guy & family Thank you for making our weekend so special to all the staff from Trisha & Colin
I stayed in this hotel as part of a group cycle trip around north Donegal. We had a very comfortable stay in the hotel and the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a delicious evening meal in Simpson's Restaurant in Carndonagh and we had a lovely cooked breakfast in the B&B in the morning. I hope to get back to stay there again sometime.
I stayed here on a business trip round Ireland. I turned up and from the very start the landlord couldn’t do enough to help. Giving me the choice of rooms. Checking that I was warm enough. Bringing a tv in for me. I said I wasn’t really looking to eat out with the current situation of cv19 so he suggested a great Indian take away and put some plates etc out for me. When I came down the next morning for breakfast he was very chatty and it was a great breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.
Sean was an excellent host.Very friendly & helpful. He is a bit of a character. We had a good laugh with him.Breakfast was very good. The rooms are bit dated. There was no television or wi fi. Good location for touring Donegal.
Perhaps I’m spoiled by staying in some of the best b&bs and hotels in Donegal but this just didn’t meet the basic requirements I expected. The owner is great...really friendly and welcoming but lack of wifi, tv in room or even a hospitality tray in our room makes it a one time only experience. Our room....based on someone’s time in New York left me wanting out asap.....prints of NYC all over the place and a stupid looking boxing ornament on top of cupboard...Grim....it was functional but the shower was dire. Breakfast was edible but again pretty standard no napkins or fruit....no grapefruit or anything and I didn’t know u had to make your own toast....didn’t see toaster as was hidden behind a huge occupied table. On the plus side there’s a big open fire in the hallway but the rooms were cool especially In middle of night...Sorry Sean, it’s just not my cup of tea.....speaking of tea, I would have thought that for £80 a night a hospitality tray would have been provided …
Very friendly owners, a nice cuppa to welcome you on arrival, great breakfasts, comfy beds. A great location as a base for touring Donegal or just for a relaxing break. Zero traffic noise - you'll sleep like a log. Great scenery and quiet country roads all around - ideal for walking, driving or cycling.
Another great stay here. Room was lovely and bed was super comfy, breakfast was amazing as always. Great location for visiting all of Inishowen. Would highly recommend staying here. The staff are really helpful
Host was very friendly and even gave us (by song 🎶) an Irish Blessing before we left. Was a quick stay. Got their late and had to leave pretty early the next morning. We were there while some upgrades were in the works. Traditional Irish breakfast for dinner. Bed 🛏 was not super comfortable but was good enough to sleep in for a night. Beautiful setting outside the house and plenty of parking.
What an amazing home, Sean was a fantastic host ! He was so accommodating and friendly. We had a very enjoyable stay and were treated to a lovely cooked Irish breakfast the next morning. We would highly recommend this b&b 😊
My husband and I loved our time at Culdonagh Manor. We arrived early before checking in time, but were welcomed and brought to our room right away. The owner, Sean was really friendly and we felt at home right away. The breakfast we got each morning was really nice, and set us up each day. Our room was really good, clean and comfortable. We were able to travel to different beaches whilst staying there. Sean gave us a map to help us see where to go to. We loved our stay, and hopefully will be back soon.
