We stayed in the Glenties, as a good setting-off point to visit Glenveigh National Park and the Donegal coastline. The particular week we went it was warm and sunny - and if you visit Donegal you know that doesn’t happen that often! The icing on the cake was the lovely hotel - the Highlands hotel. Treat yourself to the junior suite and enjoy! As we had COVID restrictions, we understood that the staff were under pressure - but they were magnificent, and even conjured up space for an extra night when everywhere was booked up. The food was good, the Guinness great, highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in early September. It was delightful. The staff could not be nicer, and looked after us and our dog very well, especially Anne, the receptionist, who even went to get him some food from the kitchen. The room was comfortable, all safety measures were strictly adhered to re the current Covid outbreak, and the breakfast was superb. We ended up eating our evening meal at the hotel on both nights, as the food was so good. The service and warmth of the staff really has to be highly commended, the aforementioned Anne, Danielle and Kathleen also, and the man with the glasses in his early 40s who looked after us at dinner time each night(whose name we didnt get).Perfect place to stay and explore this scenic part of Donegal, we loved it and shall return

We stopped here on a roadtrip of Donegal. It was by far the best Covid safety hotel we stayed in on our travels. The staff were excellent, courteous and friendly. The rooms were beautifully decorated with lovely muted colours and the bathrooms were similarly pretty. We had dinner and breakfast-both excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are passing.

Room has been well redecorated but lighting is much too low so it was very hard to read. Hotels have given up having an overhead light but they need to check bedside lights and lamps give enough light to compensate.

Had a great evening meal here. Service was efficient and very friendly. Food was really good and the staff were so so nice. Would highly recommend this wonderful homely hotel. We had a most enjoyable evening and were very impressed by the quality of the service and the meal itself. This is one gem of a hotel and is well worth a visit.
