Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We are just back from our 25th stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Everything was pure perfection from start to finish on every one of our stays. Where do I start?? On arrival we are greeted by smiley happy faces of Laura,Catherine and Ernest. We are always welcomed back with open arms. We always stay in one of the suites which are always very clean and spacious and the bed is so comfortable we always have a great nights sleep. We eat in the bar and the choice in the menu is fabulous. You always find something tasty to eat. We be served by the fantastic staff including Robbie, Jeet , Denise, Kelly and Caroline. Nothing is too much trouble. Not forgetting the brilliant breakfast choice - continental or full Irish served up by more fab staff Mary and Barbara. I cannot praise this hotel high enough and all its staff. The owner should be super proud of every single one of them. Also an extra big thank you for the gifts in our room on our 25th stay recently. We appreciate everything. See you all again soon in our home from home❤️❤️

Hotel's Favourite
Just returned from a lovely five day stay at the Jacksons Hotel with Caledonian Travel coach trip driver was well organised Robert. Hotel was recently renovated and my room was first class. Staff were helpful and friendly and food really tasty and varied in choice. The young staff coped really well with our group in spite of our large numbers. Well done to all.

Had a 1 night stay here and honestly wish it could have been longer. Fabulous room overlooking the river Finn. From checking in until we checked out the staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really lovely. We will definitely be back as it’s now one of our favourite places!

Everyone was so nice, at reception, at the bar and at the leisure centre. Our evening meal was lovely 😊 as was our breakfast. Great location for walks and getting to other parts of Donegal. I hope to return soon with my family for a midweek break.

Had 2night break here it was great. Hotel had been refurbished from last time we stayed and it's fabulous,we had a lovely room overlooking river finn. From the moment we checked in until checkout the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Especially Caroline who couldn't do enough to make our stay fantastic. The food and service was great and very good value for money. The couple we went with felt the same, no complaints at all. Cannot wait to go back

Once again I can't speak highly enough about Jacksons Hotel in Ballybofey.. Every time we visit, it just gets better.. From the moment of check in until checkout, we thoroughly enjoy our stay.. The rooms are cosy and spotless.. The food is beautiful, the gardens are lovely to sit in after a hearty dinner.. BUT the best think about this hotel are the staff.. So friendly and efficient.. each and everyone of them go out of their way to be helpful and how nice is it to be remembered by them.. We are already looking forward to our next visit...

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The food was excellent. An added touch was the chocolates and card from the staff that was in the room on arrival for my daughters special birthday. I would recommend this hotel and will be back in the future.

May I just say that Jacksons is one of thee best hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.Please don’t hesitate to book a stay in this wonderful family friendly hotel..The decor is luxurious and unique and seating so comfortable. The totally amazing efficient friendly welcoming staff…bubbly warm wonderful Catherine the reservations manager♥️ who incidentally couldn’t do enough for us.The smiley happy face of Jeet in the restaurant and bar and all the other awesome staff who I’m afraid I’ve forgotten the names of.They make you feel right at home and we were treated like royalty from beginning to end.I couldn’t find a speck of dust and the rooms are perfect. We found it hard to get out of bed they were that snuggly and always have the best undisturbed sleep.😴The pool jacuzzi sauna and steam room all immaculately kept. The food is top class.Havent had a bad meal in it yet and we’ve been going to both Jacksons and the equally amazing Villa Rose for years. The wonderful bar staff made cocktails I requested despite them not being on the list. They also took the time to share recipes for other enticing cocktails. They are always smiling and despite all the staff working extremely hard they never loose that joy. This is why we keep returning to our home from home.A friendly warm Irish welcome awaits you at Jacksons.I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.Thanks to all at Jacksons for everything yous do.👏👏👏♥️
