Both myself and my partner visited the hotel following ease of Covid19 restrictions.
We had previously booked however due to covid could not avail of the reservation.
From the beginning we were greeted with warmth and nothing was too much trouble.
The general manager Phillip and the rest of the staff were fantastic. They ensured that we had everything we needed and took time to chat and have a laugh.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. The Bar food was excellent and they make a mean mojito.
We also availed of a treatment in the spa which was excellent and my therapist selina was fantastic.

We were initially worried about Covid19 however throughout the hotel measures were put in place to ensure safety. This included ample hand sanitiser, staff wearing masks and visors and also there was the added security of a welcome sticker in your key card to highlight your room had been cleaned and no1 had been in there since.

All in all a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We dined in Fara’s on the first night and in The Forge on the second evening. From the second we checked in to the second we checked out it was a pure pleasure.
Firstly I was struck by how well and responsibly the staff were taking all the new COVID regulations. Staff wore masks and before we arrived I was a little concerned that this would be a very different experience to what we are used to but very quickly my concerns were allayed. The staff made us feel so very welcome, just genuinely lovely Donegal people. I quickly forgot about the fact that we were living through a weird time with COVID and relaxed. Social distancing was observed at all times in the hotel’s bar and restaurants.
Our room was sanitised to a very high standard and we felt safe throughout the entire stay.
But again, I have to mention the staff. Second to none. Just genuine people that you could have the banter with.
I really hope to go back and stay there again.

I bought the Bestie Break for my sister and I and it was a really good deal - lunch at the Forge Bar, bubbly, thermal suite, late checkout (1pm) and breakfast. I would recommend it to anyone. The food was beautiful, the staff were very approachable and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and a good temperature. The beds were VERY comfy!

One downside was that we could hear the people in the neighbouring room, it was a joined room but there didn't seem to be any soundproofing, so our sleep was a bit broken throughout the night. There were earplugs in the bedside lockers but I don't find earplugs very comfortable so I couldn't use them.

Overall we would stay here again and are already planning our next trip, thank you very much.

We spent a couple of days on a bed and breakfast basis. There were hand sanitizers at the entrances, as well as many placed at the dining room, bars, toilets. Our room had been cleaned and sealed, which meant that no one was in it between being cleaned and us checking in. Food was top class as usual with the young staff being very attentive. Would highly recommend.

I had booked a package for my husband and I but unbeknownst to us it clashed with a booking of a popular band.

We didn’t get much of a greeting at the reception desk- “we are expecting over 600 people tonight, I would advise you eat early”.

This is definitely not the place to go if you aren’t involved with what is going on in the function room. When I seen the poster for the band I asked could they possibly ensure we had a quiet room. The receptionist said that the room was on the 2nd floor and would be quiet enough. It wasn’t. We didn’t get much(if any sleep) until after the car park cleared.

The lovely room and pleasant spa experience were very much over shadowed by the noise and basic customer service at reception.

Checkin was quick and easy, excellent info given on the hotel regulations of how they were handling covid. Temperatures were taken on arrival. Hand sanitiser stations are found in all areas of the hotel. We had dinner in the forge both nights of our stay and the quality was excellent. Extensive cocktail menu and very reasonably priced. The highlight for us was the spa. We had the thermal suite to ourselves due to booking our slot before treatments. I had the pick in mix September special and my partner had the Swedish massage. The two of us couldn't recommend it more. The staff here are just so attentive to detail and couldn't do enough for you. Every effort was made to make us feel safe and if your someone like us who had doubts about going away this is the hotel for you. Special mention to Daniel who had the craic and banter with us in the bridies bar (part of the hotel) We loved the stories! Can't wait to come back again!! Thanks to all the staff who made our stay top class!

I was delighted with my stay in Villa Rose. The decor is beautiful and the foyer is a bright, relaxing and spacious area to sit and relax in. The staff were so professional and warm from the initial check in. Bar staff could not do enough and the table service was efficient. Cocktails are delicious and made to a high standard. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and the table service again was extremely efficient. The staff cannot do enough to help and they made us feel so welcome and comfortable. A wide number of sanitisation stations around the hotel and they provided masks for use in the communial areas if needed. Fantastic experience! We will most definitely be back again!

Stayed for one night hotel room was immaculate spacious and large bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was delicious, both in the evening and breakfast in the morning. The hotel had sanitizers everywhere, staff had masks or visors on and social distance was adhered to at all times, would highly recommend for a break, felt very safe but at the same time everyone was friendly. Will definitely be back.
