Very good b&b, very close to the town centre (short walk). The building itself is beautiful, room nice, clean with a very comfy bed. The host is very good and professional. Definitely recommend to stay here for visiting the area or for business trips.
Miranda greeted us wearing a mask, which I really appreciated. She made the extra effort to help us feel Covid safe, to include wipes in the rooms! There's parking, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast was just right for us and I really appreciated the use of a sitting room in the evening so I could play some cards with my sister and her husband. This was also one of the best value for money B&B's of our trip. A relaxing and restful stay.
Having worked nearby for a period of 3 months, my employer had me stay at the Dergfield on a room only basis Throughout my stay, owner Miranda could not have been a better hostess. Be it helping me out with laundry, giving my wife an occasional lift into town or indeed being on hand to help or advise on things to do or places to visit. Miranda and her family personify the friendly spirit on display throughout Donegal and I cannot recommend highly enough!
The accomodation was excellent, room was spacious and clean. Miranda was a wonderful host and the breakfast was very nice. The location is walking distance from Ballybofey town centre. I would definitely stay here again.
Having not stayed in many B and Bs did not know what to expect but it was a great stop over from Donegol to London derry. We arrived before the room was ready but Miranda provided us with tea which was nice. We had a family room which was great for 4 adults and my cousin arrived unexpectedly and she gave him a room at the last minute. Breakfast was fantastic. free parking in front
This is our first time over in the Donegal side so while I was searching I came across a B&B called Dergfield house and made reservations. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Miranda and Peter the owners, along with their sons couldn’t not have been more warm and welcome. They have a beautiful home and family and their suggestions from dinner in town to the sights to see where spot on. Our only regret is I wish we had stayed FEW MORE DAYS, that’s how happy we were with them. Please if you plan on staying anywhere in the area book the beautiful B&B you will NOT be disappointed. We can’t wait for our next trip, we will absolutely stay there again but this time for a longer stay. Thank you Miranda and Peter for making us feel at home Nd sharing your beautiful home with us. I wish we could give you more stars - love Steve, Julie, Bubba and Mary…
This is exceptional accommodation Miranda, the host is helpful and good-natured. i have stayed here three or four times now and i like her lot. My room was a good size and exceptionally clean — cleaner than most hotels. There was a lot of natural light coming into the bedroom windows, which i appreciate. i liked the bed in the room and i slept soundly without any disturbance. The wifi signal is good. This is essential for me, as i am continually writing. The accommodation is located southwest of the main town in a quiet location. i am not an early riser, so i have yet to try the breakfast — but it certainly smells very good! The general quality of this accommodation is high and the manager is especially kind and welcoming. If you visit Ballybofey, or this region in east Donegal, i would definitely recommend staying here. Miranda was a fantastic host! Our room was spacious, with four beds to choose from and an en-suite bathroom. The backyard and frontyards are beautiful. Miranda cooked a delicious made-to-order Irish breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and Irish pudding! We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.
We have returned from a lovely weekend in Ballybofey visiting family. We stayed at the Dergfield House and could not praise it enough. Miranda and Peter were great hosts and went out of there way to accommodate us. We enjoyed two lovely Irish breakfasts and the room was spacious and very clean. Overall great value for money and we would return. Our nine year old enjoyed playing pool and darts in the lounge. Thanks again for a great stay!! D,T & L
Miranda was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely clean & the best nights stay away we’ve had so far on our tour round Ireland. Definitely would recommend and well worth the money. Breakfast are made to order fresh, tasty & plenty to eat. My father had one room on the ground floor and I had a separate room upstairs both en-suite both doubles and perfect. Thank you for your hospitality
