The Guesthouse is a really nice property about 3km from the docks where the ferry drops you off.
Our room was really lovely but I think it was a family room so bigger than we needed. This probably was reflected in the price of €120 for a Tues night which is quite expensive but I think it was the only room available on the island when I booked. This seems strange in late July as there were very few tourists on the island.
Location wise you kind of need a car, there is nowhere to eat anywhere near the B&B and the closest bar is about 1km away, not far but it's a country, unlit road back to the property.
The breakfast in the morning was fine, I had the Irish breakfast but there were other cooked options available.
Nothing to do with the B&B but it was my first visit to Arranmore and while the island is stunning, I was disappointed in the fact that I heard no Irish spoken at all, the locals in the bar spoke English to each other.
Also, options for lunch/dinner are very limited and the food quality on the island wasn't great.

Absolutely fantastic. Rooms are terrific. 5 star hotel quality service with home hospitality. All Covid measures fully adhered too with everyone feeling safe and comfortable. We were a small group of divers who are now regular repeat visitors to the Island and always stay at Muldowney's. Can't recommend it enough.

This was our first time in Arranmore. We absolutely loved the island. Muldowney's B&B is approximately a 30 minutes walk distance from the pier, which gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the landscape. Both Noreen and her husband were very helpful and accommodating. Could not speak highly enough of them. The view from our room was spectacular and despite January we managed to get a dry weather and loads of sunny spells which made our stay more magical. The room was finished to a very high standard and it was the cleanest B&B/hotel room we have ever stayed in. There was a good selection on breakfast menu and everything was very tasty including freshly brewed coffee. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

I enjoyed my stay here. The owners (husband and wife team) were very friendly and helpful. They picked me up from near the ferry and gave me a ride the morning I left (even making me breakfast early so I could catch the early ride back to the mainland. It's a 10 min walk to the nearest pub and about 20 min to town, but they offered to drive me back and forth (I chose the walk - longish but I made it and I'm overweight and middle aged!). Rooms are basic but comfortable. Mine had a window that brought in the sea air, making it a lovely place to sleep! Beautiful view from my room (see photo) w/ a nice common sitting area to chat with friends, stare out at the sea, or pet their friendly cat. Nice choices for breakfast.

The only word. Everything in this B&B was perfect - clean and everything arranged with great attention to detail. The view was stunning and the house beautiful, with an open sitting room where you could just sit and enjoy the views. Noirin and Jim were so helpful and went above and beyond. Would have no hesitation in giving the strongest recommendation for this accommodation.

Outstanding service, welcome and breakfast. We were lucky enough to stay in the new pods as the B&B was full. The pods were clean comfortable and had everything you could want. Only there for one night we hope to be back for a longer stay on this friendly island.

Noreen and Jim were excellent hosts. The house is just beautifu with spectacular views. Breakfast was delicious and their hospitality was second to none. The area has lovely walks and pubs and restaurant. It is well worth a visit and feels like a little piece of heaven.

Myself and my two friends stayed for two nights first weekend in September.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Superb hosts. Superb location. Superb accommodation.
Jim's knowledge of the history of this part of Donegal is fantastic. Couldn't be more helpful in passing it on.
Looking forward to returning

The trip was arranged very late and from my initial email to book right through to when I left Five days later it was great. The warm and welcoming hosts Noreen and Jim could not do enough to ensure our stay was great.
The rooms are very well fitted out and decorated with lovely furnishings.
The breakfasts and evening meals were great and once again our hosts wanted to do anything to ensure our stay was good.
We were even chauffeured to the local airport to drop my son off.
I have no doubt if you book here you will be very happy you did and know your stay will be great.
