I stayed for a couple of days and all was wonderful, Liam is a great host and really helpful, he made me lovely breakfasts both days that fild me for the day. It's out in a lovely countryside, really nice and peaceful in an old country farmhouse with a fabulous host. Would thoroughly recommend it.

We had a really lovely stay at this B and B recently. We were attending a wedding in Ballyvolane House (which is actually a good 25-30 minutes away by car. But the owner of the B and B was so helpful and friendly and for a very reasonable few euro extra, drove us to the wedding himself. The B and B itself is lovely. Very comfortable, bright and clean. There is also an outdoor pool, which I doubt many B and B's could compete with. We didn't have time to try it out unfortunately. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. We got to meet the owners lovely family and his wife made us fresh brown bread which was amazing. When we were leaving he also gave us apples from their orchard and a little jar of home made jam. All in all, it was one of the most pleasant stays we have had anywhere and I would really recommend it, particularly for anyone who is looking for a good tour guide of the local area!

My wife and I found Riverside B&B in June, 2018 and are still smiling in Jan, 2019. Patti just made a pot of the tea Jennifer (our hostess) gave her when we stayed there! Thanks Jennifer. And Liam won our hearts - story telling and sharing his gardening secrets with us. He is definitely a fun loving host with a sense of humor. The bed was perfect. Room was quiet and private with a (rural farm) view from 2nd story window. Liam's family has lived here for generations. I read another review here left by troubled guest. I suspect they were having a bad day. No hosts could be kinder or easier to get along with, and we made friends for life. Just what we hoped for. Recommend highly.

My wife and I stayed here whilst attending our nephew’s wedding nearby. Liam and Jennifer are so welcoming and such genial hosts. They go way above and beyond what could reasonably be expected of them. We had to return to the guest house from the wedding reception when a waitress spilt a bottle of red wine over my wife’s new dress. Liam and Jennifer were genuinely concerned and provided us with cleaning materials to wash it. They also offered us food and refreshments as we had missed the wedding meal. What a couple!
The house itself is situated in the countryside outside of Glanworth. The bedroom was a good size with en suite facilities. The full Irish breakfast is a great set up for the day of exploring the area.
We can’t recommend highly enough.

Had a short stay here and it was fabulous. A great location to visit north Cork; A great bed and breakfast; and run by a great couple.
The food was delicious and the amount served at breakfast meant we didn't need to eat again until the evening.
It was like coming to visit relatives.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The bedroom had a beautiful view and the bed was REALLY comfortable.
The en - suite, like everything here, was spotless.
Liam is the most likeable person you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. He genuinely cares and loves people.
He was always willing to give advice on where to go and where to eat.
Saying goodbye was genuinely like saying goodbye to old friends.
Will we come back? Without a doubt and ASAP. Already planning next visit.
To Liam and Jennifer...
beannacht agus buÃochas a ghabháil leat.
Next time we'll stay even longer.

I would not rate this B&B whatsoever. I stayed due to work in the local area and honestly would never step near the place again. Me and a friend had seperate rooms and had planned to stay for a couple of nights due to working in the area. My friend didnt enjoy his breakfast on the 2nd morning and the owner was highly offended by it and started ranting at me even tho my friend left the room.He than proceeded to call our boss who had been paying for our accommodation and explain that he didnt want me and my friend staying anymore and due to this left us without accommodation for over 24hrs. I done nothing to offend the owner and was extremely civil throughout and due to him taking offence to my friend not eating food I have now been left without accommodation in a county I've never stayed in. I am a genuine person and dont believe in bad mouthing people. But to anyone looking or with a chance of staying here, DO NOT STAY HERE! The experience has turned me off ever staying in a B&B again it was horrible. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. No way to run a buisness in this day and age.

on our first day there we returned to the b&b at around 15:00 as we were totally exhausted from our journey the previous day only to be verbally attack by LIam in the most unpleasant way possible that we need to leave after breakfast and not return until late evening as this was his home and his families down time. Totally mortified by his bad behavior, we packed our bags and left the next morning. He did reimburse us, but sitting in our room desperately trying to find last minute reservation was most stressful.
Furthermore, if a place lists amenities then they should be available to use whenever the guests so wishes and this is not the case.

Hi Sue We would like to take this opportunity to reply to your interesting review. I recall your husband Filip contacting me regarding your trip to Ireland. He said he wanted to surprise you for your birthday. However, as events unfolded, we all got a surprise. I remember you came armed with a shopping list and naturally we were delighted because this suggested you would be busy each day of your time here. Sadly, having ordered an early breakfast the first morning, you headed off and returned in a couple of hours. I noticed the car in the yard at 2pm and when I went into the house, your daughter was sitting on the step of the stair and told me that the two of you had gone to bed. At 4pm, she was still sitting there and finally you got up. I simply asked you why you had returned so early and you replied that you could come back whenever you want. We run a Bed and Breakfast and behind each door is a notice stating that guests should vacate the room each day not later than 11.30am and return sometime after 5pm. This policy is in place to give us a break from guests and guests a break from us. You were adamant that you would not accept this. I spoke to your husband and when he explained that he was unable to influence you, I offered a full refund of your remaining days here even though we stood to lose a considerable amount of money and had not yet been paid by Tripadvisor. I would respectfully suggest that this may not be the first time you may have created such a situation. The ironic part about all this is Filip and I got on very well and I would welcome him back anytime. We still wish you well and hope life improves for you in the future and please no more surprises.

After I have estimated my arrival between 16:00-17:00 and arrived at 18:20 owner had to held us accountable verbally attacking us asking why we were late and eventually refused to accommodate us. I have called the administrator at 17:20 to apologise and inform him I will be late and he said its all right. He promised a full refund which did happen. After a lovely day in Cork we were tired and just wanted to rest. This was our first B&B reservation in Ireland. No one should be humiliated and kicked out at the accommodation door step even though it was my fault did not know we have to be so religious with the check in time I have estimated. The check in times on booking.com stated check inn times between 17:00 and 23:00. booking.com has sent an email that I will get a full refund as the owner promised.

We stayed here last night as a last minute booking as we were going to watch Liam Gallagher in Cork and needed somewhere relatively close to stay. The hotel was in a remote location with a brilliant host. Would 100% recommend.
