Your visit to Ireland should include a stay at Ballyhannon Castle. We found the Castle to match and even better the web site description in every way and congratulate you on providing an unforgettable 2 evenings in an Authentic Castle. It was a great place to stay, everyone in our family had such a great time! We have great memories...

Just back from a weekend at the Coach House at Ballyhannon Castle (3 Nights). We booked it for a get together for friends aged 22-23 . We are all college students and 7 of us travelled from Meath which was an easy trip with the new motorway, approx 2hrs 30mins!! Booking the property was no hassle, the owner couldn't have...

My adventure at Ballyhannon Castle began when I received an e-mail, on my birthday no less, telling me that the venue we had booked for our wedding was closing its doors permanently & would be "unable to host your event.". As it turns out, it seems fate was intervening on our behalf. As I began a new search, I returned...

For the location, size, authenticity, price, and dealing with the lovely couple that owns and runs Ballyhannon castle, there is nothing more perfect for families/couples/etc that want to rent out a castle and/or a coach house to have a unique, very Irish experience. I am from the United States and I stayed (monday-friday) and had my wedding there at the...

My family and I stayed at Ballyhannan Castle for 3 days including the day of my wedding. All of our guests were traveling from the United States. Booking a wedding from oversees is stressful enough on its own. Booking accommodation for your family is even more stressful. I had first emailed Margaret about the castle in the summer of 2010....

My wife and I have now returned from an adventure...an experience...a memory, all of which will be hard to beat (at least until we return to "our castle" at Ballyhannon). We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (a year late because a volcano got in the way...but that's another story!). We lived for 11 glorious days and nights...

I was part of the extended family trip that "ontheroadagain1434" wrote about. I whole heartily agree with what was written about our stay at Ballyhannon. Ballyhannon Castle was in the middle of our 10 day trip to Ireland. We had a fabulous time and will forever remember the our medieval Castle. The Castle and Coach House provided accommodations that all...

We stayed at Ballyhannon Castle and Coach House for three nights between Christmas and New Year's as part of a trip to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. We had 17 family members across three generations, ranging in age from 10 to 75 (9 kids, 8 adults). The children were enchanted (as were the adults) from the moment we drove up...

I stayed at Ballyhannon Castle for four nights over the New Year weekend with a large group of friends. We rented both the castle and coach house. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The Castle is amazing, maintaining original features, and at the same time providing very comfortable accommodation. The bedrooms are large, warm, and beds are very...

I rented Ballyhannon Castle to propose to my now Fiancé! I couldn’t imagine a better place to have created this everlasting memory. A huge thanks has to go to the owner Margaret who helped set an incredibly romantic ambiance with tee lights all the way up the winding castle stairs, flowers and music. Not to mention she became my confidante...
