Our stay in Lakefield Lodge was very comfortable. The room was nice and tidy and the bed was great. The host gave us a lot of information about the surrounding area and the town. There were a lot of options for the breakfast with a broad range of fresh products. Because of the storm our bus (the only one that day) was canceled. They offered us a ride (for a little compensation) to Ennis so we could cary on our trip to Dublin.
After a long drive, it was so refreshing to pull in to the driveway of Lakefield Lodge with beautiful flowers adorning the entrance. We were greeted by the owner, Mary, who promptly showed us to our room and provided valuable information about local restaurants. Our room was the best we had in Ireland and the mattress and bedding were just right. Mary provided the best breakfast we had while there, too. I would highly recommend staying at Lakefield Lodge if you are visiting the Cliffs of Moher or the Burren.
