Lovely campsite with lovely owners. There were families there during our stay but not really suitable. Loud music and party coming from pub next door into the early hours. Fabulous playground at GAA Park down the road and lovely pub / restaurant directly across the road.
This wonderful little site run by wonderful people is perfect for visits into The Burren, whether walking or cycling. Great facilities at the site and some great pubs and music right across the street in the evening. Visit and enjoy. James Joyce.
Lovely small village campsite run by lovely couple. Everything you need including hot showers, electricity, shops and restaurants 100 yards away. Music nights in Pub Wednesday and weekend. Highly recommended
Great site but a bit small. All the amenities there. Fantastic base to explore The Burren, bring your walking shoes. About 1 hour from The Cliffs of Moher, Lisdonvarna and Doolin (ferries to The Aran Islands). Site can only take about 5 Motorhomes. The rest are tents, about 25 in total, as I said a bit small but well worth a visit.
Right in the village, run by lovely people, facilities good, what more could you want! We stayed for a couple of nights, and will stay again, I’ve no doubt. No real downside that we could find and happy to recommend it.
This is the perfect campsite for a great visit to Ireland. Co clare is a very attractive county and this site is ideally placed for the burden father teds house Irish music good food. It is handy for walks. Fishing. Music. Grocery and post office. A friendly welcome waits you with first class facilities. Handy camp kitchen and games room.
we made a much longed for return to the village of Corofin in co clare this week -- no caravan this time so we booked to stay in the hostel that shares the same site as the caravan park . set right in the heart of the village with all amenities close to hand - shops , bars ,restaurants ,cafe's , the local museum church and a free bus service to the famous Burren . we booked on a 'special ' offer of 3 nights for the price of 2 - at only 50 euro per night for the 2 of us it offered exceptional value the owners even provide fresh bread , butter jams and cereals free of charge for guests - we were given the downstairs 'family' room that had a double bed - plus 2 set's of bunk beds and also had a bathroom with w.c ,shower and hand wash basin right next door -a convenient convenience you might say ! - there is a large kitchen for use by hostel guests which is well equipped should you decide to cook for yourselves -but there is really no need to do that as Corofin has an excellent choice of restaurants and cafe's available for all types of meals there is a 'new addition' since our last visit a couple of years ago with a rather nice little cafe /bistro on the main street . our room was very comfortable though a little cramped due to the 2 sets of bunkbeds - but it was clean and tidy and suited our needs and marie and her family are always available to help out if needed . the site itself is very welcoming and we mixed with other guests staying in the camper /caravan park at the local pub 'Bofey quinns' traditional music night on wednesday - led by an amazing 92 yr old who had people of all nationalities up singing together to make a fantastic night out . as before we ate in Bofey quinns each evening and the food was excellent yet again - nicely presented without to much fussiness and plenty of it at a very reasonable price - the cod in batter with home made chips is a whale of a portion - all washed down with a few pints of the black stuff or a choice from a range of beers ,soft drinks tea or coffee -- watch out for the locally brewed 'special' ales ! once again we didnt have the best of the weather ,the first rainy days for over 3 weeks but it didnt dampen our spirits and we enjoyed a lovely short break . thanks to marie and family at the hostel and neill and the staff at Bofies for the entertainment and food . see you all again soon !…
This was a real find during our camper van trip to Ireland last week. It was right in the centre of the village with shops and pub just metres away, yet was lovely and peaceful. The traditional music on Wednesday night was great - the local people kept turning up with instruments and it felt really genuine. The recommendations from the owner for a walk and a place to eat were spot on too. Thank you!
Situated in the lovely village of Corofin, it has excellent facilities the showers are enormous with plenty of hot water, there is a fridge and a cooker in the amenity building also good wifi. The owner Jude was very friendly and helpful. This is a good spot to explore the Burren from also Father Teds house is only about 5 miles away.
Had a great weekend in Corofin for the May bank holiday weekend, we were visiting for the Festival of Finn. We were made feel very welcome by the owners of the caravan park and would definitely return. It's so convenient to the village with all you would need for a weekend of camping, showers and a nice kitchen, the fine weather topped it all off. We will be back.
