This place is a gem! The hosts Helena and Patrick and their family/staff are fabulous at what they do. Their experience shows through. This is a B&B...but that doesn't do it justice. 10 times nicer than most hotels! We had a lake view room, a large spotless, spacious room with a wardrobe/dressing area and an ensuite bathroom. There is everything you could need. Tea/coffee, tv/dvd (with a large dvd selection available), ironing board & iron, hairdryer. The bathroom is beautiful and lovely touches like cotton buds and toiletries. Now we get to breakfast! Well! We recommend the porridge, museli, yogurt and fruit and the omlette. But everything here is delicious. You can prebook a BBQ package to cook your own meat while everything else is done for you. Or book a picnic. Such a lovely experience overlooking Lough Ramor. And that brings us to the 'garden'. Stunning site and views with lovely extras. Picnic tables, parasols should you need one and even stepping stones to a mini island with a seat where you can forget the rest of the world! They have kayaks for guests to use with life jackets. Blankets to lie on and toys for little ones. The lough itself is stunning and you can watch sail boats, kayaks and water skiers. We were lucky to have glorious weather and kept extending our stay..we truly did not want to leave. Helena and Patrick we will be back ASAP!

We are just back from a short family (3 children - 11,8 & 4) break to St Kyrans and we can genuinely say it was beyond our expectations. We had a large comfortbale family room and had the entire place to ourselves as we were staying on a Monday night. The hosts Helena & Patrick were amazing, welcoming and incredibly generous & attentive throughout our stay. We had a pre ordered barbq order for us to cook ourselves and the setting and equipment were excellent, looking out on to the lake. This template for a family break with barbq was really enjoyable and effortless. One of the best parts of the short trip was the hosts providing us with kayaks and life jackets to explore Lake Ramor which was a fantastic experience. The quality of the food was top class and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. For any family, couple or group looking for a private break during these strange times, this is a fantastic option and we really enjoyed the location and the hospitality of the hosts. We will return again as it was a brilliant short break! Thanks to Helena & Patrick!

Once again we have had a wonderful stay here at St Kyrans. We arrived to a lovely little returning guests surprise in our Lake view room, Very sweet gesture💗
Busy Saturday (Valentines weekend) night in the restaurant and the food was first class, staff as always very attentive.
Breakfast too was delicious, as much cereal, fruit and yogurt as u like, cooked breakfast, fresh wheaten/white breads and fresh fruit juice, tea and coffee.
Even through Storm Dennis we took in the beauty of the surroundings and it is truly beautiful.

If you get the chance to try this little treasure out don’t pass it up! You won’t be disappointed.

My partner and I spent our first anniversary here with a two night stay. The room was beautiful and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. We enjoyed the BBQ experience with fab pre-prepared food and drinks, with the beautiful view of the lake. During the day we made use of the kayaks and went out into the lake. Our two-night stay was absolutely amazing. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond for us. We felt so at home whilst being surrounded by luxury. The breakfast in the morning coupled with the views from the restaurant was first class. An ideal staycation. Will definitely be back!

I have been arranging for work colleagues to stay in St Kyrans now for almost 10 years and recently had our first team conference there involving myself and 7 others who travelled over from the UK. I have always found the feedback from colleagues who have stayed there to be incredibly positive. I work for a global precision engineering company and my colleagues come from all over Europe. They are always blown away by the location, views, comfort, food, value and most importantly the magnificent hospitality. Every time they leave they are telling me they wish their stay was longer. Some of my colleagues have even told their friends who had been visiting Ireland that they should stay a night in St Kyrans if at all possible because they were so impressed. Our conference was a massive success too, the facilities are excellent and the service throughout the day was next to none. A lot of our meeting involved Teams meeting with people from around the world and we didn’t have one connection or line quality issue which we find incredibly rare when we have these meetings. In fact the whole event went so well that the team have asked that a conference in St Kyrans be made a more regular event in the rotation. I couldn’t recommend St Kyrans highly enough, Helena and Patrick and all the staff couldn’t be more helpful. I really enjoy taking people there because I know that they will be well looked after and will really enjoy their stay. I couldn’t praise them highly enough.

Lovely location, nice room with everything you could need for an evening. The Full Irish breakfast was delicious and not in the slightest bit greasy and with the homemade bread may for a great start to the day. The lady running the place seems to do everything but still has time to chat and make you very welcome. She even rang the room to suggest a couple of places to visit after asking what was good to visit earlier. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

We had our wedding in this establishment last November 2019 and I really don't know where to start with this review. From the initial meeting we were made to feel so special and any request we had was no problem at all. Upon checking in on the morning of our wedding it became apparent very quickly that we were at home. Our day was so memorable and we can only attribute that to the amazing staff at an amazing venue with amazing food. We cannot recommend this place enough and we are devastated that due to current restrictions we cannot spend our first anniversary there but we hope to be back soon
Lots of love Ailbhe and Patrick 💜

St Kyrans was one of the best places I have ever stayed! Everything about it was amazing- the location (gorgeous walk down to the lake right in front of the house), the rooms (lovely size, amazingly soft bed and pillows), the breakfast (hot and cold options available) and the host Helena! She’s so friendly and helpful. We had most of the rooms booked up and she couldn’t do more to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend.

Attended an intimate wedding last weekend in St. Kyran's, outside Virginia, Co. Cavan
I had heard about the venue but never before stayed. From the lakeside location to the owner, staff, Christmas ambiance, views to the rear, spacious bedrooms, wonderful service, out of this world dinner it would be difficult to surpass. Some expansion is occurring presently to no doubt wow the next customers.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a night to break up the journey. It was such a unique stay. The gardens and lake were stunning ! The room was fantastic! Very modern, the comfiest bed and felt very luxurious with a splendid view of the lake. We went kayaking and Patrick was so helpful in showing us where to go on the lake making our adventure brilliant. We loved just sitting on the terrace, watching the sunset and found it to be so peaceful and relaxing. The DVD library was such a nice touch and something so different. Breakfast was 10/10. Helena and Patrick were amazing hosts and we felt just like we were at home , We can't wait to go back for another weekend - and of course to see our two furry friends.

It's Ireland you're coming to, not Iraq! The roads even have tarmac and signs to point you in the right direction. If you are lost however you can speak to one of the friendly local Neanderthals who will grunt and point you in the right direction

We used cars (plus taxis for nights out in the Riverfront in Virginia). I'm sure St Kyrans staff would be happy to help with any other information if it isn't already on their website.
