One of the best places we have stayed in Nicaragua! It is simple yet beautiful, has a nice inner garden with tables where you can relax. Rooms are basic but very tidy, clean and comfortable. The wifi is very good and there are bathrooms and showers close to all the rooms. The best part about it is Carlos, the owner...

And I can't recommend it more. I completed my volcanology studies while staying in this hotel, coming year after year from January to March, and it's the perfect combination of cleanliness, hospitality, trustworthiness and all-around great service. Thanks Hotel Regis, don't know what I'd have done without you!

I stayed here 4 nights. I had a small bedroom with a single bed, fan and small table. Room size about 9'x9' if that. There are 3 washrooms all shared. Price was right though 130 Cordobas/day. The room was clean and a towel and soap provided. They keep the whole hotel clean. It's located about 4 blocks north of Central...

If you are used to dorm beds, this is a relief. For $5 pp you get a private or double room with a fan... and a bed... haha, not much more than that. But you have some privacy for that money and WiFi works fine. For me, a long-term backpacker, it was a good deal. For my 61-year-old-mother not so...

This place is super clean, located close to the market, and super cheap: just 5 dollars per person. I'd recommend it if you are able to cope with super annoying screaming and whining children from early in the morning till late at night. Also, if you love a bed with spirals who aren't afraid to make themselves known, go for...

Great location for this small hotel. I paid $5 for a private room with a fan. Pros: Location, clean, friendly hosts, free wifi(best I had in Nica) towel and a bar of soap, Cons: Walls are thin and if the room next door turns on the lights your room will be lit, 10pm curfew.

Not many travelers spend the night in Masaya (most just do a day trip to the market) so finding good budget accommodations is a bit harder than say Granada or Leon. Hotel Regis (also known as "Hospedaje Regis") is a very good option for people looking for something cheap, clean, and basic. As previous reviews have mentioned, it's only $5...

Regis is a wondeful place to stay in Masaya. The owners are very friendly, helpful and definitely put a lot of attention on cleanliness. I stayed in Regis for 6 night and my bedsheets and towel were changed every day. The room is very simple and has everything you need - bed, table, chair and fan. There is three shared...

This was a nice and quit place, luxurious for a budget hotel. He host was really nice, and gave us a lot of advice. I had my own room, towel, soap, a fan and wifi for 5 dollars. It is close to the central park, artesanian market and in walking distance from the pan american high way. I strongly recommend...

“It looked like some of the rooms had double beds (mine only had a twin) so make sure you ask for a double if you'd like one. One in the back would probably also have less smoothie-shop noise.”

“The rooms on the left are best for couples or anyone who wants a little more privacy. They have opening at the top of the court yard wall to let in the breeze where the rooms on the right have a window and a thin curtain to keep out prying eyes.”
