When in Knoxville, I like staying at the full service Marriott. There is lots of parking outside, but if it is rainy...head for the garage. When you enter the garage go up a level....it's easier to enter the hotel on the lobby level. This is a dramatic lobby with a large and open atrium feel. My experience with the front...

This hotel looks beautiful from the vast lobby but the rooms are a bit tired. The furniture was dented and worn as well as the wallpaper in places. The bathroom was nice sized and had granite counter tops. Our room had two doors although you could only enter from one of them. The second door led onto a hallway that...

We stayed in this hotel about 5 years ago and it was old and needed an update back then. We were sure it had been updated by now! As we pulled up, my kids were laughing about all the bad things from our last stay - and guess what - they're still here! Filthy, matted carpet, old, stained, peeling wallpaper,...

If you've read two of these reviews you will know the place is old, who cares get over it. I wasn't aware of this but it's not the hotels problem its mine for not scoping things out well at all. The room was clean and comfortable. But the problem was when I tried to change my checkout date 1 hour...

The room was nice and standard. The staff was very nice, courteous and professional. Very nice bellhop who took up our bags. When we entered for the 1st time, the balcony door was open. I wouldn't get a balcony again because it is shared with the room next to you which I didn't like. The room appeared clean but there...

It's time for an upgrade. This hotel is showing its age. From the old carpets to the thigh high bathroom counters to the overall musty smell in the hotel. It's time to invest in this hotel. Many markets with older Marriotts (Nashville - Charlotte) are working on complete renovations of their hotels. Platinum Premier Elite member will not return to...

I have stayed here 1-2 times per year for the past 5 years. There is nothing technically wrong with the hotel, but I just feel like it's seen better days. I appreciate it's location which is very close to my work on Gay St and other places downtown. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff - everyone is always...

My husband and I were in town visiting family and decided to use our category 5 certificates to stay here. I should have figured if it was a category 5 for a Marriott, that it would be marginal. This hotel was built back in the 70's and that's where it's stayed. The lobby area is ok but the rooms are...

This hotel was just terrible. Upon arrival, there was a HUGE cockroach crawling along the wall outside our room. That should have been the first clue that this was not a clean or well-maintained hotel. The room was dirty. There was trash on the floor, and by walking around in socked feet, it was apparent that the carpets needing cleaning...
