Such a sweet lady that checked us in at 11pm on Saturday night! Clean room, very spacious for 3 of us and the beds were super comfortable. Just what we needed after a long day! Breakfast at Holiday Inn express is always good, plenty of choices for whatever you’re looking for!
We enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Everyone from Front Desk to maids to breakfast hostess was friendly. The room was sparkling clean and all linens looked and smelled fresh. The complimentary breakfast was varied, plentiful, and delicious. Great experience.
The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The whole hotel and the rooms are clean. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there is not enough seating for the breakfast area. My family of 5 had to bring our food back to our room to eat. It’s not a big deal but with 3 kids (ages 9, 8, & 6) it did make it a little difficult. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay!!
Much like everything else nearby, this hotel is unfortunately grubby. The room was dirty. The bathroom floor had ground-in dirt and used washcloths on it. I tried to clean up some, but the filth in the tub wouldn't budge. Hair all up in the fridge. The hallway had dead bugs and debris near the elevator. I'm not hard to please. This was gross.
Traveling during Covid - very nice stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, very quiet - sits up on a hill about a quarter mile from I-40. Driveway is sort of tricky in the dark - sits behind a restaurant parking lot. Actually had breakfast options - front desk clerk serves you from the breakfast buffet and will fill your request from what they have. Much better than most hotels we have stayed in this year! Would certainly stay her again.
My family of 4 stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hurricane Mills (Waverly) on a cross country road trip in early July during height of Covid. We chose it because we wanted a first floor room with 2 double beds and this was the only hotel that met the criteria in the area. Hotel and room were clean and the staff was masked during Covid which was important to us. Decor could use a refresh, as this property was not as modern as other Holiday Inn Express hotels or competitors we've stayed at. Grab and go breakfast had fruit and a packaged pastry. Rate (more than $150/night) was pricy given it was a dated property. Overall it was clean and we got a good night's sleep so it did the job but I probably wouldn't stay there again during "normal" times.
The people at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. The location is great. The room was clean. The only reason I didn’t say 5 stars, is because our shampoo bottle was empty in the shower when we checked in.
Stopped here while visiting family in the area. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the water hot, and the beds slept great. The free breakfast had many good options, you won’t go away hungry! The staff was very friendly as well. Would certainly stay here again if we’re in the area.
This hotel is very overpriced for the area. My husband and I stayed there one night. We had an executive king and as far as rooms go it was very average and for the price we paid we expected more then we received. Save your money and stay at one of the other hotels in the vicinity for a lot less!
Stopped in for 1 night, clerk was friendly, the place was clean and fairly new, I got a king from on the first floor and it was nice, clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was okay, It could of been a little hotter but the eggs sausage and gravy were decent for pre prepared products.
