Never again! We were half way into a 15 hr drive and decided to stop for the night. The room reeked of smoke, the pillows were as hard as a rock, the sheets were thin and itchy, and there were stains on the blanket (have pictures). The doors were slamming all night and dogs were barking. Husband went out for a break and I went out to find him sleeping in the car. However, since they only gave us one key, I was locked out and had to ask for another key to get back in room. They gave me another key without even asking for an ID - so anyone could have gotten into the room. The door had gaps on all sides, so it’s no wonder we could hear ever movement that everyone made in the hotel. Although, the front door was locked after hours the back door was propped open with rocks - sounds like a good security system. Then upon proceeding to my room, I was startled by a young man sitting in the center of the stairs to the upper floor. The two towels were like sandpaper and small enough to wrap around my two arms. Needless to say, we should have just pushed through and saved the money as this hotel is overrated, overpriced and very uncomfortable!
That's the only complaint I have is that this spot isn't updated when it comes to their rooms and fixtures. They're spacious rooms though and the bathroom was ok as well. It was a bit of an inconvenience that there wasn't an elevator either, but the staff was helpful. It's probably about 30 mins from Pigeon Forge depending on how traffic is, but it's in an ideal location.
Yes the place is somewhat clean, but musty. the lobby and hallways are so hot it's siffling. The front clerk, not a TN native, was very rude and not inviting at all. Bare essentials in the room. One shampoo, then no more after 3 days, no tissues (after box was thrown out), coffee that was clear, breakfast not inviting at all. The only nice employee was a native TN lady with blonde hair. She was friendly and welcoming, the others, NO. If you want to sleep and go for the price, then yes. If you want a little comfort - No.
I was a little skeptical, as this was one of the least expensive options in Dandridge, TN, but I was delighted with the facility. Very clean, excellent staff on duty, luggage cart sturdy and functional (I travel with heavy boxes of stuff), and the hotel location was easy to find! I was a little disappointed that the pool is outdoors, as it was storming while I was there. Also, as others have mentioned, breakfast consisted of cold cereal, a waffle maker, coffee, tea and juice. But it was plenty to get my day started, and the room for eating was pleasant and spacious. Several folks I knew were also staying here, and we had plenty of space to visit while dining. Great location with stores and restaurants nearby. Bed was firm and very comfy! No elevator, so be sure to specify if you need a first floor room.
What a bargain! Very comfortable and convenient. It has a long t of amenities as well. And Judy was wonderful at the front desk— Very friendly and informative! The breakfast was good also.Several restaurants are close by.
