Since my husband and I tend to not like crowds, but wanted to stay in the Great Smoky Mountains (the most visited national park in the US), I was looking for a place where we could find some quiet. I was somewhat successful in choosing Cosby. Coolest part of our stay here: we couldn't figure out what the high-pitched noise...

We recently spent 3 nights camping at Cosby Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains NP. The campsites all had a tent pad and picnic table. Parking was conveniently close to each site. A few of the sites were a bit close for my taste, and the quiet hours were not really enforced. It would be nice for a campground host...

The campground is shady with heavy tree cover and the campsites are spacious. We camped here with tents and not an RV. It's fairly quiet although one time we heard noise from people at a nearby campsite late into the night. Bathroom facilities are well kept and clean. Both A and B loops have nice campsite options. Some sites have...

it was a nice campground, but there was no bear boxes last year my family and I had camped in rocky mountain national park and Yellowstone national park and they had bear boxes to put your food in so the bears would not get it providing safety for people and bears. if they would have had bear boxes I would...

We didn't realize we were in a small rain forest at the camp ground. It was never mentioned about the amount of rain they receive. Lets just say we had 2 mini monsoons and decided to call it a day. The camp sites are amazing and the bathrooms stay very clean! My only complaint (besides the rain, lol) is that...

We camped here in a pop up camper. Mostly a tent site campground but there are a few sites that are camper capable. Very quite and peaceful. Hiking trails nearby. Gatlinburg is nearby but far enough away so you are off the beaten path. be advised there are no hook ups here.

We did not stay at the campground but my daughter and I drove to this campground from Gatlinburg to go on this trail. It was about a 40 minute drive. We drove back a different route to sevierville and it was also about 40 minutes. Beautiful drive. The trail was so lovely with the sound of rushing water. Restrooms were...

We have camped in the Cosby campground several times. The campground can be reached from I-40 without needing to travel through the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The tent camping sites are spacious, with tall trees providing shade. I love the sounds at night as the high winds blow the tall tree branches. The hike to Mt. Cammerer is right out of...

Camped here for a week in May. This is a great place to camp if you want to be off the beaten path and away from the crowds in Gatlinburg. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I found a lot of wild flowers on the Cosby Nature Trail and on the trail to Hen Wallow Falls

We camped at Cosby for a week and it was perfect. Very quiet and away from the crowds - which is exactly what we wanted. The sites were really well spaced and you did not feel like you were camping on top of the people next to you. We saw the rangers multiple times during the day/night. And the couple...
