This hotel is a little dated but my wife and I enjoyed our stay. Also, Priceline had a cheaper rate than the hotel’s website. The grounds are very nice. The main lobby was an old train station and the hotel has a nice gardens area. There are also train cars that have been converted into rooms. There are 2 outdoor...

This should be called a Motel. The front lobby was nice enough. We stayed in Building 3 and I begged my husband to leave as soon as we walked in. Our "non-smoking" room stunk to high heaven from obviously years of people smoking in here. The sliding glass door took every ounce of strength I had to open and killed...

The attraction of this hotel is its history. The gorgeous lobby was once the train station depot for Chattanooga, and the building also includes various shops and a large dining room. Fourteen rail lines approach the terminal station, four of which are lined with rail cars which have been converted into guest rooms. At the end of the train platforms...

I took my 7 year old to Chattanooga for fall break. I've always been fascinated with this hotel but was a bit nervous based on reviews however because this is the only hotel that offers packages for 1 adult and 1 child we gave it a try. I booked the Children's Fantasy in a king size room that was by...

I've stayed here twice now. And it's a great hotel. The staff is attentive and warm. Bed is comfortable and the room nice. There are some great restaurants in town. Recommended as long as you can get a good price. I saw some people show up at the last minute and the "rack rate" they were offered was very high...

We wanted an interesting place to stay on our weekend family vacation. Picked the Choo Choo for it's history. Although the desk staff was pleasant, the rooms and facilities were very tired and overpriced. The biggest issue for us was the theft of our ipad from the (locked) room. We left on Sunday morning for our next destination. 2 hours...

We feel violated having a staff member being accused of stealing! I would like to clarify a couple of things. As soon as we got your call, we immediately went and checked the room and 2 additional times upon your request. We removed the beds from the frames and completely and thoroughly inspected the room. At any hotel, the property...

Our Tennessee Valley car club hosted our first ever Regional Meet at the Choo-Choo for a 4-day weekend. We had 60+ cars from 13 different states (TX was the farthest). From contract negotiations to payment of our final banquet charges, the staff at every level was most helpful, friendly and courteous.

The train car rooms are well worth the extra cost. This hotel was more like a little town, and it was beautiful. You could shop, eat, sleep and sight see without leaving. And the entertainment while we ate at The Station House was great!!

This hotel is a fun place to bring little train lovers. There is a steam engine on display in the courtyard, a trolley that will take you around the hotel grounds, and a model railroad museum. I've been coming here 1-2x a year for about 7 years now-always in winter. This year I finally attended a convention there in summertime and I was STOKED to finally use that pool that had been vexing me.

All day long it was full of feral children and at night, when the con activities slowed the pool gates were locked. (9pm!) that was the only time I saw any security off their golf cart-to lock us out of the pool! Earlier in the day, we noticed a car POURING GAS from it tank in the parking lot. We flagged the centaurs (security/golf cart hybrids) and one said point blank that he didn't care because it "wasn't his car". I called the front desk 2x about it. No one really seemed to care.

I am SORELY disappointed, Choo Choo.

Also the renovations are terrible, did you have to tear out the station house and sandwich shop at the same time? The gardens breakfast we used to look forward to was awful, and the short male waiter was TERRIBLE. Overheard him telling a table of three ladies that unless they gave him another dollar he would have to pay a dollar to take care of them (not sure what he meant, but they coughed up an extra dollar, which he pocketed and left them without saying ty) ladies told us they'd never be back. When we paid him, he didn't even offer to bring our change, just took our cash and left.

He should be fired.

We had silver car pizza 1x and it was burnt. We called out to papa johns and then city cafe after that.

We have always stayed here at the choo choo, and looked forward to it, but after this past weekend at the con, we're considering branching out and trying another hotel nearby...
