We few into Atlanta for the start of our USA road trip and decided that rather than stay in the city we would get some miles under our belt and head to Chattanooga. We booked a train car and they are worth every penny. Yes there is some rust and yes it isn't the quietest nights sleep but wow it...

This place will be great once they finish renovations. Train station is a great historical spot. People were nice. No complaints other than the old worn out state of the hotel buildings and rooms. Train cars look like a great adventure to stay in for kids.

Our group of retired Navy submariners recently held our bi-annual reunion here. It was a great experience. All of our rooms were together in close proximity to the meeting room we used as a hospitality suite. This is a historic hotel, so you shouldn't expect the latest in luxury in the rooms, but they are comfortable with the usual amenities...

The hotel seems to be searching for a new identity by trying a number of paths and then switching to something else. The latest is to outsource and become hipster. The chain "frothy monkey" is the new coffee shop/bar while Stir is the trendy restaurant. There's also a comedy club and performance venue, both small....sorry, intimate. The building is still...

We stayed in the train carriages as the hotel was full. They where fitted out very chintzy but had all mode cons including a very nice bath/shower with wash handbasin and toilet. There was also tea and coffe making facilities. Each carriage was divided into two separate apartments.

I have been really impressed with the renewed Choo Choo. Track 29, The Comedy Catch, Frothy Monkey have all been great additions to the historic site. I enjoy going down there to hang out with friends; or to bring my son to see the trains and play in the arcade. It is Really great at Christmas with the activities and...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo in a pullman train car. This was a very fun experience. All of the furnishings appeared to be from the era as was the decor. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great nights rest. The grounds were well kept and relaxing. We sat outside in the...

We have stayed here before. We won a free night through our local radio station WIVK. I did not notice until I got home, but my gift certificate stated I would get a free night in a NEW room...we were not given a new room. The room was nice, but was not one of their newly renovated rooms. We love...

Stayed the weekend with my family of 4 in one of the train cars. Definitely a unique experience for us, and my girls (11 and 8) loved it. Now it's all about said experience..because the cars are a bit "rustic" and not what you would expect from a newer hotel. It had a trundle daybed so we all slept comfortably...

Came for the night with the hubby. The front desk was very friendly. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Thank you for a great stay. And the garden is absolutely beautiful. I loved the roses dedicated to our military that is very classy.

I've been coming here 1-2x a year for about 7 years now-always in winter. This year I finally attended a convention there in summertime and I was STOKED to finally use that pool that had been vexing me.

All day long it was full of feral children and at night, when the con activities slowed the pool gates were locked. (9pm!) that was the only time I saw any security off their golf cart-to lock us out of the pool! Earlier in the day, we noticed a car POURING GAS from it tank in the parking lot. We flagged the centaurs (security/golf cart hybrids) and one said point blank that he didn't care because it "wasn't his car". I called the front desk 2x about it. No one really seemed to care.

I am SORELY disappointed, Choo Choo.

Also the renovations are terrible, did you have to tear out the station house and sandwich shop at the same time? The gardens breakfast we used to look forward to was awful, and the short male waiter was TERRIBLE. Overheard him telling a table of three ladies that unless they gave him another dollar he would have to pay a dollar to take care of them (not sure what he meant, but they coughed up an extra dollar, which he pocketed and left them without saying ty) ladies told us they'd never be back. When we paid him, he didn't even offer to bring our change, just took our cash and left.

He should be fired.

We had silver car pizza 1x and it was burnt. We called out to papa johns and then city cafe after that.

We have always stayed here at the choo choo, and looked forward to it, but after this past weekend at the con, we're considering branching out and trying another hotel nearby...
