Place has mold issues and areas that are in desperate need of updates. The front desk staff were very accommodating. They moved us to a different room because mold was all around the A/C , windows and bathroom. Lobby area is somewhat nice but that is where it ends. Their staff tried really hard to make our stay nice but I'm afraid nothing but a complete overhaul could help this place. Police showed up our last morning to break up a very physical domestic in the adjoining room. Nuff said.
I’m a medically retired wounded veteran and me and my family are currently homeless and we had been staying at this place for over a month and paid everytime and the owners wife who is the man of the family is the most pathetic evil selfish I’ll let you fill in the blanks here who literally told us I’ll give you one hour to pay the time we was trying to get help to pay for the next week and says she’s the owner she can do what she wants. The place is run down falling apart everything is broke and definitely not covid-19 compliant at all. If you stay here any length of time expect new front desk workers every week because even her employees can’t stand to be around her any longer.
Numerous fire doors propped open with door stops. Actual crap marks on toilet seat AFTER cleaning staff supposedly cleaned bathroom. Also the property could use a pest management company. Summary- bring fire resistant bedding, a fire extinguisher, and your own cleaning supplies to clean what the maids missed. Disgusting & expensive stay!
The lobby looked fine and the breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The room I was in had visible mold and the moldy smell was awful! Anyone with allergies would have been in trouble in that room. The room my friend was in also had mold, but for whatever reason didn't smell "as" bad? The fan in her bathroom was inoperable and the shower, regardless of how long she ran the water, would not get above luke warm. The rooms are in desperate need of a knowledgeable maintenance person and management who concerns themselves with the condition of the rooms. It was pitiful! I'm not sure where the people leaving the good reviews were staying because it couldn't possibly have been here?
Can't believe this was a Choice Hotel. It was filthy, one of the beds had dirty bedding. Went to front desk and was given a clean set of sheets and was told to put them over the dirty ones. Carpet on one side of the bed was so wet it was terrible. Stuff on the floor in bathroom. Something was wrapped in a wash cloth in the refrigerator. The carpet in hallway haven't been swept forever. Was told numerous times a manger would call, of course that has never happened. We got there too late to find another hotel. Beware, Beware, Beware
Entrance carpet was dirty. In the room, furniture tops were dirty with drink rings; the phone cradle held large crumbs; neither the microwave nor the clock worked; the sheets were dirty. I called the front desk about dirty sheets & evidently the only employee at night brought sheets to the door & handed them to me. He said he can’t leave the desk for more than 5 minutes. I will say that the mattress pad appeared clean & the beds were comfortable. They advertised a free hot breakfast, but we chose to skip it. We had intended to stay there 2 nights, but found a different motel for the second night.
It was beyond me how this property can still be a Quality Inn. The front desk help was trying hard, but still our room had no towels, had dirty carpet and furniture and a broken window. The hallway and common areas were unkept, and their breakfast offerings were tasteless and very unappealing. Run away from this place and don't look back. Stay in another town if you have to.
I spent a weekend there for a friends anniversary party. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff is friendly. The continental breakfast was average but available. Hotel needs a little updating but was better than other hotels I have stayed at in bigger cities.
It is a small old town but the owners take personal pride in providing a good quality hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and will not hesitate to stay again when we visit. If you are expecting super fancy, take note of the town and put your expectations in check. The owners and staff are great and the rooms are very good.
We booked ‘Pay Now and Save’ King room with a sleeper sofa, no smoking. With taxes $55.52. The room was spacious with a desk and chair. We were in Room 201 which faces NW so in the summer, it is quite warm and took a while to cool down. The sink/toilet/shower w/tub is enclosed in the same area. My suggestion is to place a dressing mirror in the room. The reservation stated ‘pillow top mattress’ and it wasn’t. I usually sleep pretty good regardless but the mattress needs to be replaced. It is interior access but no elevator. The pool is outside. There aren’t any automated doors. The carpet in the hallway and stairwell needs to be replaced. It is not indicative of the rooms though. They are clean. I noticed prior to going to sleep there is not a smoke detector in the room. They offer guest laundry however it is out of order. Wash is $1.50 and Dry is $1.00. Great price!!! WiFi and channel selections were good. The breakfast is normal fare. We would stay there again. We ate at Mi Cocina across the street and it was really good Mexican food. No margaritas as they don’t have a hard liquor license. …
