In early May, 2018, due to necessary motorcycle repairs, I stayed at this inn. Very little effort was made regarding upkeep. The room was dingy and needed a good cleaning. The drains in the bathroom were clogged. They were unsuccessful in fixing the problem so I was given another room, just as unappealing as the first. The bike was repaired more quickly than expected so I checked out before 10:30 a.m. Although I had not used the second room at all they refused to give me a refund. My recommendation is Not to stay here.
The 1st thing we checked was the bathroom, hair on that ct the wall, mold and a board on what was a window that you could see daylight through. My husband was the brave soul who took a shower the next day and the tub wouldn't drain. There is a TV but remote didn't work and no coffee pot. We found trash under the bed that clearly had been there for some time. We paid $237.36 a night for Nascar Weekend for a rundown motel that charges $50.00 normally. We were so disappointed being our 1st family trip. This was booked through TripAdvisor/Booking.com which gave it a way better rating than it deserved. We do Super8 or Motel6. We're not fancy people.DON'T
We stayed here on race weekend. We usually camp but we were concerned about the weather & started looking for hotels. This is about 3 miles away. I was worried it wasn't going to be nice but I was pleasantly surprised. The motel is older but the rooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly & nice. They didn't mind that we set up camp in the parking lot. We grilled, played bean bag toss & set up our pop up tent when the rain came. We already made reservations to stay here next year.
We stayed here July 4th before a race at Bristol Dragstrip on Saturday - the price was extremely reasonable ($55 with tax) and close to the track. Obviously for this price, you are not getting a 5-star resort which is fine as all we wanted was a bed and shower. My only concern was that there are 2 small windows in the shower that are supposed to have frosted glass, but one had been busted out in our room. Due to this, anyone passing by outside could see into the shower if they so desired - it wasn't an issue for us as it was a quiet place, and probably not easily noticed from the outside, but it was a little creepy. The pipe under the faucet was also dripping so there was a damp spot under the counter. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend it for the price as long as you aren't looking for anything super fancy.…
My husband & I were at the Speedway Inn today. When we went in to register the woman working there ( the owner I'm guessing ) asked if we wanted one or two beds. We asked the prices ( $40 for one bed & $50 for two beds.) we said one would be fine. At that point the woman told us " two men, two beds". we explained we were married, showed our ID's ( we both now have the same last name now ). She then said she would not give us a room. I explained to here we were legally married in Maryland last year. All in all it s 2014, I believe 17 states allow same sex marriage now. this is total DISCRIMINATION. On top of that it is the 4th of July & our rites were violated. my husband was deeply hurt. I would like to ad that on February 11th., 2011 my husband received a double lung transplant. We are contacting the LGBT. We are totally shocked in this day & age for this to happen. Kevin & Ric…
