I first came to the Sturgis Rally from Australia in 2009,I enjoyed the place so much I now live in SD. I go to the Buffalo Chip every year and camp for two weeks. If you want the true rally experience this is the only place to be. Many others have come and gone, and many try to emulate the...

Over the past forty years, I have witnessed the Sturgis Rally grow from a few thousand people partying in the city park, most just sleeping on the ground and the only running water being the nearby stream, to over a million people in campgrounds, motels and other venues scattered throughout the Sturgis area. The Buffalo Chip and other campgrounds have...

There's a lot to be said for an authentic rally experience at the Buffalo Chip and you have hit the nail right on the head. Thanks for spending so much time with us, camping, riding, experiencing decades of great music and partying with your friends at the Chip. We continue to make upgrades and increase services every year to help...

If you want to stay and see all of the best concerts this is the place. We camped using our pickup bed and a trailer. Next time I will rent an RV. You are pretty much on top of each other in spots but hey it is a party! One complaint...people go to Sturgis to forget who they are for...

We are so glad you chose to stay and enjoy the party at the Buffalo Chip! Thanks for coming. We agree, camping in an RV is the best, but some like the authentic rally experience, a bedroll under the stars, and we are happy to provide the services to help them have the best vacation ever as well. We also...

We did not camp here but stopped in at the bar to avoid an impending storm. Bartenders we friendly enough and the drinks were well made but kind of small. They were having a Sailor Jerry promotion so my rum and cokes were 2 for 1, which was made up for the small cup. My husbands Jack amd coke was...

Thanks for stopping in to check out the Chip. It sounds like you experienced the free-access CrossRoads and hope you were able to catch a free stunt show or one of the many live bands performing out there. We are very sorry that you weren't able to stay longer and make it into the campground for a concert and all...

Buffalo Chip is my home away from home. I had so much fun at the rally. It was no problems getting in and out of the campgrounds. I camp in an area in the outer rim so it is a lot more quite. I enjoyed the concerts. Buffalo Chip is the best spot to pitch your tent in Sturgis.

Thanks for such a great review! We are so glad you chose to stay at the Buffalo Chip and help to make this the Best Party Anywhere! You have obviously figured out that there are camping spots where the party never ends and others where you can get a good nights sleep. With 600 acres of camping there are many...

Without a doubt the Chip is the Premium place to stay! Nowhere else in Sturgis will you have the cleanliness, friendship, security and great accommodations than at the Chip! Not to mention the best bands available. This was my 16th year at the chip and I will be going back next year. Definitely the best blast for your bucks. Food and...

Thank you for being such loyal friends of the Chip! It's people like you that make this such a great place. We simply couldn't have a party without you. Great advice about the riding. The Black Hills are beautiful and offer many amazing rides, but the winding roads and pigtail bridges are safer and more fun when they aren't crowded....

I saw quite a few negative posts about the Chip so I figured I would put up something positive since I just got back from Sturgis and I had a great time. This was my first time staying at the Chip for Sturgis and it was pretty much everything that I expected. I think people should understand that Sturgis is...

What a great review, Steven! Thank you for coming to stay with us at the Buffalo Chip. We are very glad that you did your homework and picked your camping spot based on your research. Some like to camp in the middle of the party and others in a quieter location. We offer both and hope that more campers will...

At our first Sturgis Rally this year, my wife and I swung by the Chip on our way in to town. While we didn't stay here, we stopped at the Crossroads and listened to the band, had a few drinks, and poked around a few vendor tents. It was a decent time and didn't cost a thing - so I'd...

With a full house, everyone is your new best friend! A party in every direction you walk. Food is a little pricey, but the entertainment was worth it. Thank you for coming to help us celebrate the Best Party Anywhere this year! You are correct, the best way to enjoy the party is to plan to camp here.
