Yet again another great stay at Rafter j. Love this campground. Level sites...clean grounds, friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. Try to think of more reasons to travel to South Dakota just to stay there. Friends with us used bathrooms and laundry and were very happy with both.

From the moment we arrived, we loved Rafter J! The check in was quick and efficient, the site was so spacious; what a treat! The store was a bonus! The pool was clean, and the laundry room had newer machines that worked great. We were in site 171, which was in the lower camp along the trees. I loved how...

We enjoyed our time at the Rafter J Bar Ranch. The facilities were well cared for and clean and the pool was a great place to relax. We appreciated the convince store and assistance with the Internet when we couldn't log in. Great location. To see the sites including hill city' winery.

We stayed at the campground in the camping cabins. The cabins themselves were very clean and well situated. The bathhouse/restrooms were very clean, brightly lit and well located in each area. The campgrounds were kept clean. The office was open and stocked many needed staples, including firewood, ice and other goods. The pool was heated and well maintained. The kids...

After a three week trip out west this was one of our favorite campsites. It is convenient to all the local attractions. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are very clean. The sites are spacious and it is a beautiful, wooded campground that feels like you are truly camping in the woods. We would definitely stay here again!

Ask for a site way in the back unless you need pull through - the ones in the front are more like a parking lot for big Class A's. We abutted the property line where the forest starts and it was very nice. Bathhouse could use a remodel but was basically clean and there was a laundry room that we...

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The ranch has everything you need: clean showers and restrooms; pool; grassy areas for walking the dog; views; easy access to Hill City and Mt Rushmore; and a wonderfully stocked camp store with surprisingly reasonable pricing (a bottle of Full Throttle wine was $4 less at the camp store than in...

We stayed in the cabins. The bathrooms were impressively clean, as were the showers. I could barely keep the kids out of the heated pool. Even the other campers were almost uniformly friendly. Cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. No air conditioning, but good ceiling fans with plenty of well-screened Windows amd cool nights meant that sleeping...

We stayed here one night. The place is HUGE!! Very friendly staff. Well maintained pool area. We were unable to connect to the wi-fi. We had a site with no sewer, but they have a dump station on site. Close to Hill City.

The campground is beautiful and centrally located. The sites are shady with plenty of room. The only problem I had was with the wifi. I was never able to connect. This might not be a concern for some people, but it was a huge problem for my 16 year old.

Thank Donna T
