A bargain especially if you love old charm! New Television. Clean. Friendly staff. A short walk to the casino action! I'm sure I will stay there at the Silverado/Franklin again. Breakfast burrito was fantastic.

The lobby is beautiful, the gentleman that hold the door are so sweet, and the restaurant (Legends) is outstanding. The rooms, however, are sooooo outdated, there's obviously issues with the maintenance of the rooms. Our bathroom ceiling was, literally, peeling off. It was quite noisy and super musty smelling (and, cherry on top, you can't open the window). For $30,...

The good: The gentlemen that waited at the front door to great customers were some of the nicest people we met the entire weekend. The main lobby area was remodeled +10 years ago, however was the nicest portion of the hotel. The bad: When my husband and I checked in, I could tell walking down the hall that this wasn't...

We had an online reservation for a room in the historic hotel, however when we checked in they had us booked in the motor lodge across the street. All the regular rooms in the historic part were occupied. A suite was available so they give us that for the regular rate. We really enjoyed our stay and if we are...

First things first - this is a historic hotel. I love historic hotels. But these hotels have their very own quirks and issues. If you don't like historic hotels you won't like the Franklin. The issues I had on this particular trip had nothing to do with the hotel. It was an employee. One in particular. During my stay it...

I have hesitated on reviewing this hotel... but if it helps someone else not to go through it....Here we go... The main floor and Legends Steakhouse are excellent...as is the gaming complex across the street. Unfortunately, that is where it ends...Hotel is old, beat up, modestly maintained, decorated with a hodgepodge of furniture from the last 100 years. Although the...

Hotel has the charm of turn of the century. The rooms need some renovating but loved it. For $20 per night special, you cannot beat it. The rooms reminded me of being back at my grandmother's house in the country. We will be back. You're stay comes with one free drink per day per person in the group.

We stayed at the Franklin hotel for our anniversary. We had the most delightful suite, it was called the Kennedy Suite. The room was so historic and beautiful. Filled with antiques that were just lovely. I see that some people have said that it is run down and not in good shape, I would totally disagree with that. It is...

the look of the building and hallways looks historic but when you get into the rooms not so much. They do have the cool, old time push button light switches but the furnishings were less than desirable. The bed skirt was torn, there was hair and a bug on the pillows of the bed. The room only has a small...
