STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY: they put my 84-year old disabled father in a regular room despite our paid-in-full reservation for a disability room! Dad had just sold his home, was exhausted and had nowhere else otherwise I would have told their ignorant and rude staff where to shove it. Called the next morning to tell them he was checking out and they REFUSE to refund his money! What kind of business scams the elderly, the disabled and veterans. Besides that the facility is rundown and seedy and the rooms are filthy and smell horrible.

If you value your health and life stay away from this hotel. I guess I should have gotten a clue from the filth and roaches that I would wake to find dirty needles under my matress. Not just one but a handful. I went to tell the manager and she never came to my room to see. She sent a housekeeper with a sharps container as if it's a normal thing for them. I checked out and requested a refund which I have yet to receive. When I try to get answers I get the run-around and excuses. Stay safe and healthy avoid this place at all costs. $78 was not worth the health risks. Pay more and save your life.

Arrived at 8:42 pm after a long drive to miss the sign on the door that according to the receptionist LaToya says the hotel can overcharge you a days stay and keep the funds held up for up to 14 business days. I requested to have the money released so that my account at the bank could clear but she stated she could not release the funds. The amount of a one night stay was $83.24 but they held additional funds of $84.32. Traveled across the country and have never had such a situation. Then to read additional reviews stating the same concerns, I called the police department to file a complaint. After speaking to TLaToya the receptionist, to address my concerns about the reviews and the overcharge I let her know that they had lost business as we would not be back and she just hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager and she refused to pick up the phone so I left a message for a manager to call me. I did not get a return call within 5 business days. I called again to inquire about reversing the charge and was told my bank was holding my money. Finally, my bank refunds me the lessor amount which was the room charge, and gave them an extra $1.08 from the authorization charge. I did not even argue. Just glad to know that the bank marked the charge as fraud and returned the funds to my account. WHAT A SCAM! Now to address the room...for $84 bucks....NO! It was definitely a REGRETTABLE HOTEL CHOICE! I would advise everybody to always read the online reviews first. I did not and now wish I had. This has burned me so bad that I will never stay at any Econolodge again.

Seems like a bunch of bad reviews for this place recently. (Although I am an active "fan" and participant on Trip Advisor, I had not checked the reviews, and so was not forewarned. Our experience was mixed and, overall, an "average" rating. Pros: the office staff and check in process very smooth. Staff friendly. Good recommendation for where to go locally for supper. Contrary to other reviews, no noise, no homeless, no drunks in the parking lot. Cons: One, mainly: the curtain covering the front window closes with about a 1/4" space between the closed curtain and the window glass. You could see onto the motel sidewalk though the little space at the end of the curtain, near the room door. The mirror on the side wall inside the room was positioned just wrong, so that passersby in front of the room could see the mirror and get a gander of the bed, as reflected in the mirror! I was sitting on the bed, watching TV, and glanced over at the wall mirror, and realized I could see someone walking by outside the room. The motel could easily solve this problem by moving the mirror over 2 feet or to another part of the room entirely. I found a clothespin in our luggage and clipped the gap at the end of the curtain, to the chain on the door, and then we had our privacy. We will always pack a couple of clothespins in the future.
