The Lowry House was a great getaway weekend for my husband's 60th birthday. Billie and David offered warm hospitality and wonderful breakfasts. The house was expertly restored and renovated by David himself, preserving most of the original features while adding thoughtful modern conveniences. Of special interest to us were the ties to Clemson University's engineering and architecture programs. The original... More

Billie and David are the most hospitable innkeepers I have ever met. My family travels quite frequently, not only in the U.S. but world wide, and we can honestly say, hands down, this is the place to stay while you are traveling through or staying in Seneca. You will not only receive a warm and sincere welcome from Billie and... More

Excellent service Comfortable bed The best breakfast we have ever had It has an historical component. The house is listed on the registry. The Johnson's ( married couple who run it) are most hospitable. Very charming The rooms are sizable & clean. The details are taken care of for you . Nice bountiful butlers pantry. The breakfast was absolutely terrific, with many courses and enough choices to make anyone happy. If you are going to a Clemson game, this place is wonderful to avoid typical game traffic because it is so close. The hosts also were gracious enough to warm up our tailgate food for us before we left for the game. Clean room, and... More

October of 2013 was our second visit to the Lowry House Inn and, just like last time, it was a wonderful time. We stayed in a different room from our first visit, but it was just as comfortable and lovely as the other room. Billie still throws down a killer breakfast! The food is fabulous and MORE than ample. And... More

Innkeepers Billie and Dave simply do the very best of everything. The house is lovely, the grounds, the big southern porch fabulous. Dave did the renovating and brought the home to the original splendor! Billie...well what can I say but you want to cry the day after you leave because she didn't make your breakfast. Her cooking is five star!... More

My husband and I stayed there while house hunting, which worked out well since she was our realtor. Billie and Dave couldn't have been more accommodating and she's a great cook. The house is cozy and restored to it's original design. You can walk three blocks and be in historic downtown Seneca which offers quaint stores and numerous restaurants and... More

Billie and Dave were great. Billie is a great cook and was very accommodating (I'm a reluctant vegan). The Inn was spotless and the rooms were very nice and updated. Dave spent a couple of years renovating, so everything is new, but retains its 1900's charm. Great value for the money too!!

I recently stayed at this B & B and I was very pleased with the house. Billie and Dave where right there at the door to greet me and to help me carry my things up to my room. The rooms are very nicely decorated with ceiling fan, small TV and private bathrooms. The downstairs is open to guests to... More
