1. The hotel staff does not know what a roll in shower is, they said that all King rooms have one. One of the front desk persons even went to the room and re-confirmed that there was a roll-in shower. When I reached the room, I saw that it was a regular shower. This lack of knowledge caused a lot of confusion, required multiple calls, and an unnecessary long delay during check in They also mentioned that this was a handicap room, but it was not. 2. The room main door was always jammed, it did not close or open without a struggle and had to be pushed or pulled real hard. 3. Torn mat in the bathroom, I had housekeeping take it out. I took a picture and it does not portray a good picture of the hotel. 4. The shower door kept sliding and opening on its own, and someone had to constantly hold on to it to keep it closed, and prevent water from spraying out. 5. The staff at both the front desk and the restaurant were quite rude; particularly a heavy set African American man in the restaurant and a blond Caucasian man with an accent at the front desk. 6. When I made the reservation and at the time of check in, I was informed that the lounge would be open on Sunday afternoon and it would serve Hors D’oeuvres, but after we went to the lounge on Sunday, we asked the front desk again and THEN they told us that there would be no evening service that day. 7. My requested service amenities including toiletries were not in the room when I checked in. There was no separate soap provided for shower, just one for the wash basin. 8. There were no clean wipes anywhere in the room. Every hotel that I have stayed at recently had them. 9. There was a bright hotel light outside the room all night impacting our sleep. 10. There was no printing option in the entire hotel. 11. There were no drinking glasses provided in the room. 12. The position of toilet paper was most inconvenient, it was almost on the floor. 13. The fridge in the room was really small.

Michelle and Mark were awesome at the front desk. Clean and easy!!! Plenty of parking and great beds. Consistent every time that I visit. The lobby bar and M club are both well stocked!!!!!!!! Confrence center is easy to use and WiFi speeds are adequate

This was a wonderful stay. I chose this hotel to be my “empty nest/college graduation/Mother’s Day” getaway. When I checked in, I had the pleasure of having Michelle check me in. I was so discombobulated due to the day I had but Michelle had me smiling and laughing by the time I got my keys for my room. She is a gem! What wonderful customer service she provided! The room was very clean with wonderful and modern decor. This will be my hotel when visiting Charleston.

The staff is friendly. The hotel is clean. The bed is one of the most comfortable that I have slept in at a hotel. The rooms are clean. I would recommend this to anyone and will return to stay. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The area is safe if traveling alone
