Great location, but pleeeeease clean up the place! Carpets are dirty throughout the hotel. Trash bags with smelly food in front of doors in the hallways. The room itself could have used a deep cleaning. Window and cabinets were dirty. The tray on the the table was rusted and the glasses on it were dirty. Just felt like taking a shower after we left.
Based on Marriott encounter: Friday, July 3rd: I politely asked caucasian woman at desk if Covid cleaning protocol utilized a d comforters change between visitors....She rudely and dismissively said" We are doing alot more with Covid, but when I asked her a second time to clarify, she became angry and sarcastic stating, " Like I said, we are following safety standards", Requested extra towels, washclothes and hand towels and toilet tissue from Justin at front desk a d he stated, " Dont you have tells already". I explained to him my request and he reluctantly got supplies 20 minutes later. Saturday, July 4: On Saturday around 12:30 pm left room hotel spoke with housekeeping, who was coincidentally new to job she stated. I left her 10.00 tip and reported I needed bed changed, extra hand, bath towels and washclothes. Toilet tissue. I specifically asked her to change bed and she said "I am new but sure I can do it."..My husband heard this as he was in hall. When we returned toroom after 4 pm the bed was stripped, towels on floor in bathroom, linens left exposed on chair and no toilet tissue. Called to Justin and he argued profusely with me that my husband and I signed form acknowleding no cleaning service. However, I was in car when husband checked in a d he was not told no cleaning unless 4 day stay. In a hotel who is following Covid protocol cleaning should be done daily for guests to reduce exposures. Also a cleaning kit and dust mop or vacuum should be provided.....also there should be trash removal at all entrances as well as professional. Well kempt staff... The staff need customer service training and diversity training to better serve persons of color..... Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone…
I really enjoyed staying here. Very clean, and the room I was in had super high ceilings for some reason - which was great! Pool could have been bigger / deeper, but there was no one else in it. Lobby area is nice.
We couldn’t of been any happier with our stay at Towneplace Suites! We have three young boys and the two bedroom suite is a dream for our family. A fully equipped kitchen was great, and they also have a free breakfast buffet. The staff was super friendly and attentive— love the pool area and outdoor space. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Charleston area. This location is right in Tanger close to restaurants, shopping and just a quick 15-20min car ride to historic downtown or Mt. Pleasant.
Hotel was “tops”! Best part about stay was the staff. They were extremely personable, attentive, and courteous, calling us by name 100% ! A special shout out to “Mama”, in dining room. Their other secret weapon on the staff is Ted Wackler! He helped with a very important matter and saved the day, going above and beyond expectations. I rate his guest care “Superior” : fast, friendly, & efficient! Thank you,Ted! Will definitely be returning to Towneplace Suites! Marriott, N. Charleston!
