The hotel looks nice from the outside, but the rooms need some deep cleaning and renovation. The rooms are getting worn and in rough shape. We have a high level of expectation for embassy stays and this hotel did not meet expectations.
First Impression: Multiple Police in the parking lot. Second Impression: We booked the hotel for the kids/teens to swim in the pool. It was not open. No attempts to fix, nor compensate, nor let us know when it would re-open. Third impression: Complimentary snacks and alcoholic drinks/sodas were better than expected during COVID but not as awesome as Embassy can do Pre-pandemic. Still, overall a positive here. Fourth Impression: Tripped on carpeting exiting elevator. Yes, the carpeting is beyond need of replacement and is so bunched up that it is a tripping hazard. Fifth impression: Room is in bad shape. Not enough linens for pull out coach, nor towels for guests. Wallpaper is peeling, sofa is worn, carpeting is worn, corners are dirty looking with age, bathroom fan was not cleaned (hello COVID), pull out sofa mattress is ridiculously cheap/old/uncomfortable, TVs do not have access to anything. $20 to rent an old movie. Yep, no pool nor TV to entertain the kids. Sixth impression: Return from eating out at a restaurant to smell Marijuana in the parking lot. Seventh Impression: So happy to see a fleshed out breakfast during COVID. However, eggs were powdered/French toast was a combo of soggy, cold, and inedible/bacon was tasteless grease/ coffee was tasteless. No made to order omelettes as Embassy used to do. Normal hotel fare. Shirts/shoes must be worn in breakfast line but no attempt to enforce mask policy. Eighth Impression: Ah, the extra charges...a $200/night hotel ends up closer to $280/night. There is a $10/night parking fee and no security so be aware. Normal hotel practice; but aggravated by the lack of quality in this hotel. Hotel staff was friendly, but nobody went above and beyond. This property is not up to Embassy Suites usual standard.…
This was the worst hotel I ever stay in took my family 4 rooms to get one that didn’t smell and was so what clean the wife and kids slept in the car because they couldn’t get over the smell and the bathroom toilet still have Feces and the toilet seat
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hallway carpeting could be a tripping hazard and the rooms smelled of smoke. Pool was overcrowded. Breakfast was very good. Would recommend if only staying a short time or last minute decision. Other Hilton hotels should be better, I hope.
I have never had any problems with Embassy suites prior to this visit. This was a family trip that ended up being frustrating because we we all cramped in the same room when I specifically requested two rooms that were joined.
