This was not our first stay at an Extended Stay America. As with our other stay, the dish kit was not available at check-in (problematic because the whole reason for staying there is to be able prepare meals, etc). While dishes & pots were available within 48 hours, a coffee maker (normally available in all hotel rooms) was not available for over a week. These are minor irritations and wouldn't stop us from staying at an Extended Stay America again should the need arise. As for this particular property, this is the good & bad . . . Positives: 1) Staff was friendly. 2) Maintenance requests were handled quickly. Negatives: 1) Security – When we checked-in the lock on one of the side doors was not working – this door was a primary entry point for many guests. As a result the door was frequently propped open, meaning anyone in the area could enter the building unobserved. After our 5 week stay the door lock was still broken – in fact guests had tugged at it enough (trying to get it to work) that it was nearly falling off the door. 2) Housekeeping-Scheduling – We were here for 5 weeks, with a weekly cleaning schedule our room should have been cleaned 4 times. It was cleaned twice – once after 12 days and the second time 9 days later. The first time, it took three requests to get service. I don't know if the housekeepers do not have enough hours to get to all the rooms done or if the scheduling system is broken. 3) Housekeeping-Linens – When you're only getting housekeeping service once a week, I would expect the linens to be changed. This was not our experience. After our first housekeeping service (after 12 days) when the sheets did not feel fresh, I went to the front desk & requested fresh linens. These were provided. The linens are well worn – hence the lack of the fresh feel. But at this point, since I made the bed myself, I knew what the sheets looked like and they had a couple of unique marks on them. So after the next service (9 days later) I could tell housekeeping did not change the sheets.

We enjoyed our stay the first floor hallway was quiet and no one bother us. Room was very clean and everything in working order except for the track lights! Which wasn’t no big deal. Front desk was efficient and helpful when we ask for something. The only complaint I would have would be our neighbors On our last night very loud running Jumping sounded like elephants ! But I work for extended stay in Charlotte so I understand . We love the room how it was set up different from Charlotte. But overall nice stay I would recommend and come back! Thank you for taking care of us!

Place is horrific. Why it isn’t a 1 Star I don’t understand. I’m here sleeping with the lights on to scare off the many roaches, but the gym is horribly depressing, the rooms are falling apart and it smells terribly. I am surprised I haven’t seen yellow police tape. This place should be condemned.

We needed a last minute reservation and because there were so many events in the area hotel prices were really expensive. We decided to save some money. Bad idea. This place smells bad. We had cockroaches in our room and so did our friends across the hall. I’m not sure about the free breakfast. After the cockroaches we decided to go to the Panera down the road.

This is the WORST hotel I've been to. I KNOW ITS LONG BUT PLEASE READ. From the moment I pulled in the parking lot. This is honestly my first review on anything. I know a lot of people probably say that and it's not true but I'm usually the reader of reviews and not the poster but I had to post for this one to help others avoid this experience. Allow me to walk you through: I pulled up to the hotel and they were doing construction work around the hotel, the front lobby entrance was closed so we had to enter through back doors lol but I'm completely fine with that and that's understandable. I walked to the front desk and after a long travel from South Florida to South Carolina, I was not prepared to be told "No, I can't go up to my room". Keep in mind that I just took TWO flights over and a car ride so all I want to do is lay down. First, there was no one present in the front desk, they were in a back room, talking and laughing loudly as I stand there for five minutes. I knew they know I was there because I made myself known. It was after a few "excuse me"'that I was acknowledged. Then.... the lady in the front desk said "I'm not seeing any payments here for you". I'm here on a business trip and my company always pay for everything ahead of time and sends me the confirmation so I knew there was a mistake. So I explained all that to her but she still stood on her no. I did not mind that because after all she's just doing her job but it was the ATTITUDE that came with it that I did not appreciate. She stood there impatiently as I called my company. My company verified everything for her but it's still wasn't enough for her, she wanted more proof. My company sent over confirmation letter, reference number, screenshots, pictures, emails, faxed and authorization forms and instead of checking for these things right away when I politely asked her to, she continued to tap away at her pink phone case phone. The other staff was nice, it was just the one with the pink phone case that was helping me that seemed to not want to be at work that day or at all. Long story short after a half hour, I finally got to my room. Here I was thinking I was going to walk in to a comfortable inn but it was the opposite and a little bit disgusting. You can tell just by a glance that housekeeping in the hotel doesn't exist. (Matter of fact, I saw the same front desk lady with the pink phone go room to room and say how she have to clean some rooms downstairs) so with that being said, I guess they rush the cleaning process since their playing both housekeeping and front desk. Stains were on the bed, chairs and couch. I took a shower, just to found out that the bathroom tub drain does not work, it does not stay up whatsoever so the water build up while I was showering and stayed there after. NO ONE looked into this and after going out to work from 7AM and coming back to the hotel at 8PM, I came back to find EVERYTHING Still the same. The water is still the same, the bed was not made (I don't mind about the bed part but they could at least have tried) garbage still here, nothing was cleaned or touched. NOTHING! I am disappointed. This is my first and last time being here or any other "stay America" I'm sorry but it's a no for me.
