Don’t let the outside fool you! I was a little worried when we pulled up. The gal at check in was super nice. The room itself was great! It was very clean and updated. We only were in town one night but this was a great price and short Uber ride to the breweries we came to visit. Only note is the room did not have a coffee maker or hair dryer. I expected it to have those but maybe it’s because of Covid or maybe that’s not a normal amenity. A bonus, the mini fridge had a separate freezer section which I’ve never seen on a mini fridge before. Would recommend and would stay again!
There are an abundance of hotels in this area. But if you are looking for a no frills, good price, and nice owners...then this is your spot. They’ve recently renovated the rooms all the way to the door handles. So it’s very nice on the inside and very clean. The building is old but you can tell they work to keep it up. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. They even allowed us to check in early when they didn’t have to. The only downfall is you are super close to the airport and at times, it sounds like the airplanes are taking off in the parking lot. But at night, you don’t notice.
We arrived in Charleston late afternoon and just wanted a place to sleep before getting up early to drive up the coast. Don't let the exterior of this hotel fool you. It's a good solid economical hotel with clean rooms. We had a king bed and a wonderful walk-in shower. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited, but for the price, it was a great choice for us.
We were given a room at the back ground level. Asked to move rooms due to an issue with people smoking drinking and having a bbq near our room. We were then given a room upstairs at front. Room very clean. No coffee maker in room No hairdryer. Would recommend
Definitely recommended. The owners are very attentive and polite, the room was excellent. This hotel is in a very convenient spot for access to nearly any part of Charleston in a short time span: located off of I-26 and very near I-526, only 10 minute drive to downtown, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, etc. Also conveniently located near the Tanger Outlet mall area: Walmart, restaurants, etc. This is my go-to hotel for taking vacations in Charleston.
