The entire reason that you stay at Dunes Village in January is because of the two large indoor water parks. We booked a few months ago and nothing was said at that time nor was any communication sent letting us know that while we were there one of those water parks would be closed for renovations. We were traveling with small children and the water park that was closed was not only the one that was in our building, but also the one that appealed to our little ones. I understand that things need to be closed occasionally for renovation and upkeep, but communication should have been sent out.
What a wonderful experience we had while vacationing at Dunes Village Resort! There were an abundance of activities to keep everyone happy from ages 4 thru 70. Due to the wide range of restaurants and location, it is not necessary to rent a car—-which is a plus.
Upon arrival very fast and easy to check in. Walk way to the room had a huge stain that looked like vomit or poop, Ocean front windows were filthy with hand prints and lots of smudges. At bed time pulled back the sheets in the room with two queen beds to find neither had been changed both had sand and dirty sheets and blankets. Found a Childs bracelet in-between the top and bottom sheet proof sheets were not changed between guests. Took over one hour to get maid to change bedding @ 8:00pm Walls are so thin and child jumping from bed to bed in room 955 made picture fall off the wall onto the bed @ 11:00 pm. and water bottles on night stand fall to the floor. Room 955 needs a deep cleaning.
I would never recommend dunes village after this last trip.was not told till check in half the water park was closed.when i complained it was to crowded and dirty to use the open water park brushed off and just said sorry.not to mention we had 2 rooms for a birthday and it was all waisted.we paid to leave and do other activities.not to mention the roaches crawling in the stove in 704.
The bartender Ian S. is so nice & professional! The hotel is great as well!😉 We are here for my daughters 15th birthday with all of her friends! Ian provided a nice break from all the girls! Cheers Ian!!!🥂🎉

I came down with my wife to the Dunes Resort for 2 nights and it was the most fun I’ve had in a while. So much to do right on property. I loved this place and will be staying again. Special shout-out to Katelyn at the desk. I had two separate encounters with her and she was amazing and so helpful!
All staff we're extremely nice especially the Captain cafe crew Kim and another gentleman I believe his name was James (bartender). Diandra the chef her food flavor was amazing. We had the protein breakfast bowl it was the best we ever had. Job well done will definitely go back.
