Pirate Land is a family camping destination. We have been camping here for a few years. Noticed this trip that the bath houses were not clean. The grandkids loved the pool and splash park, I loved the lazy river. Beach was not crowded, the lazy river was. Perfect place to bring the family. We travel in a 30 foot travel...

We spent a week at Pirateland and enjoyed our stay. The beach is beautiful and perfect for families. We stayed in a site closer to the beach. It was a bit of a walk to the pool, but doable even with a 3 year old. The only shade at the sites near the beach is under the picnic shelter. The...

We 100% love Pirateland, have been going for years, and fell in love with the new pirate themed splash zone next to the pool. They have really managed to keep the place from feeling dated though we've been visiting for decades. So fun!

My family has been going to pirateland for years. We took a twenty year hiatus and started going back two years ago renting their villas instead of camping. They have made some great additions like the splash pad etc but the villas (executive) were extremely dirty when we checked in this year as compared to two years ago. There were...

We came here every year when our kids were younger. Loved it then. Came back with our grand kid's and our dog. But the golf carts kept us from enjoying family walks and bike rides. It was very stressful. Golf carts not ad hearing to the enter and exit signs. Trying to walk our dogs was putting our lives and...

Thank you for your review. July is our busiest time and the golf cart traffic can be overwhelming. I'm sorry it caused you to not enjoy your stay. I will pass along your feedback to the patrol manager. If you can travel in early or late summer the park is usually a little quieter and more relaxing. We hope you...

Great location by the beach. Clean place. Too many carts driven by teens (or sometimes even kids) not slowing down for pedistrians. They will run over you if you're not careful. They should reinforce rules related to carts (age for driving, speed, speed, priority to pedistrians and respect one was).

We booked a 7 day stay for our family of 4 earlier this year. I went ahead an paid my entire vacation cost ahead of time so I got the exact spot I wanted. My preference was to have shade from trees, not be next to the main end roads, and not be next to a bath house. I could...

Stayed 10 days at Pirateland. It was our first & last visit. Staff was not friendly & campground is too crowded. Our sewer hookup was practically in our neighbors dining area. We also were next to a colony of tents & they used their site as a dumping ground. I paid too much to $$$ to see another camper's underwear...

Thank you for reviewing your stay. I'm sorry you were unhappy with your site location. We have over 700 campsites and they vary in size and location. Perhaps reserving in another site area may better accommodate your needs? July is our busiest time and it can get crowded. I'm sorry that any of our crew members were unfriendly to you....

On a positive note, Pirateland's beach area sites are great. There is lots of room to back into the site and plenty of room for your car(s). We were in a site that was very close to the water and really enjoyed it. Also the pool, lazy river and splash pool area was fantastic. It was really hot this past...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. It's great to hear you enjoyed many aspects of the campground. I'm sorry you had issues with the internet. Although we have significantly increased the amount of band with over last year, it is difficult to accommodate the tens of thousands of devices trying to connect in July. Tech support...

Stayed in a travel trailer in the beach section. Wi-fi was nonexistent. Could see Lakewood's wifi though but also too weak to connect. Everyone was complaining. Golf carts everywhere that acted as if they owned the road. Probably because most had kids driving them. Rules say must be 16, but many were obvoiusly under age and it seemed to be...
