Extremely friendly staff and clean facilities. I was a little frustrated when I received my E-Receipt. The valet (Mike) said, “Hey I heard the desk say you were a platinum member, we aren’t busy, so I’ll provide complimentary valet”. I was charged on my corporate card which doesn’t reflect well on me. I’m hoping Mike didn’t charge me and one of the other staff members thought it was an oversight. Also of note, the second night of my stay I had a terrible headache and the gift shop was closed. The front desk opened the gift shop after hours and gave me a pack of Motrin at no charge. I wish I remembered their name but again, I had a bad headache. I suppose when you consider I unwittingly paid $36 for valet parking, that was 2 very expensive Motrin🙂. The food was about average for Marriott but the bar tender and wait staff made up for it. All very nice and conversational. …
Hotel was clean and courteous staff that was quick to get our room. However they did not enforce the mask policy. People were walking through and checking in without masks on. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful.
Overall a decent stay despite being off-season and still in the midst of Covid-19 protocols. The view from the ocean view room on the 10th floor was spectacular. Service was very friendly and responsive. The resort has plenty of amenities and looks like it would be a great place to stay and enjoy the pools and outdoor area during warmer months. Being directly on the beach is also a bonus, even on a colder-than-normal January weekend. Being able to walk the beach in the morning while drinking a morning cup of coffee was wonderful. The pricing was reasonable. Not a great deal, but fair considering the location and amenities. The $25/day resort fee during the off-season was a bit much considering the small market shop serving Starbucks is closed Monday-Thursday, some of the water amenities are closed, the outdoor pools are far too cold to use, and the outdoor hot tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in at least a month. However the resort fee is pretty much the norm these days and an expected add-on pricing to any hotel stay. The one notable downside, however, is the lack of maintenance at the resort. When moving a small side table, with spray-painted plywood cutout bottom to keep it stable tacked on the bottom, to get a better view of the awesome ocean view from the room a big notable stain was revealed. The bathroom door wasn't quite hung properly with the top hinge coming out making it difficult to close completely. The railings were notably peeling -- expected on an oceanfront resort but they look like they've not been attended to in a few years. And the stucco facade had multiple notable gouges as well as water damage on the main balcony. Also -- what is up with the placement of the toilet paper holder? It literally sits on your legs when using the "throne". One other note -- you can easily hear people in the hallways. Thankfully the hotel was not super busy and the guests on our floor were in-and-out during reasonable hours. Busier times of year or with early-morning/late-night guests it could be a concern for some. Would I stay here again? Possibly. The maintenance can be overlooked, but I'd re-think it if the price was any higher at just under $225/night for an ocean front room after the taxes and resort fees are added. With a little TLC in the guest rooms and some of the main areas of the hotel this could be a go-to destination. At the moment it is feeling a little dated.…
Stayed at this property 1 night. There is a $25 resort fee whether you use any of the properties facilities - but parking is "free". Was not provided this info upon check-in but is on website. There are a number of pools 9inside and out) - some heated as well as whirlpool. Room was large (ocean view) and very clean. Would stay here again.
We enjoyed our two day winter getaway. We lucked out with 65 degree temperatures. There us a $25 resort fee. There is self parking or valet. We chose self parking, its a short distance away. We need two queen beds but they did not have any facing the ocean but we still got a nice view of the ocean and the sunset. There is no cleaning service unless specifically requested. We asked for a change in trash and new toiletries which they left outside the door. The reception was very friendly and helpful. This hotel has awesome customer service. Kaitlin was especially helpful and going out of her way, providing us candles for our anniversary cake. We used the indoor pool, hot tub and lounged at the chairs outside. There is also access to the beach area. The rooms are a comfortable size with a safe and refrigerator. A very comfortable stay.…
